James Hiromasa

James Hiromasa is a best-selling author, Subject Matter Expert for the State of Colorado and CEO and Co- Founder of Colorado Krav Maga, Inc., considered amongst the most prestigious and successful Krav Maga Self-Defense Training Center’s in the Country. In this role, James spends most of his time expanding the reach of the Colorado Training Centers, training and certifying other Instructors, both civilian and Law Enforcement, across the US, working as a trainer for various Law Enforcement Agencies, and teaching seminars nationwide. In addition to continuing to contribute to the growth of Self-Defense training in general locally and Nationwide, James develops and delivers customized safety and security lectures and training seminars for numerous and diverse groups, corporations, and government agencies. The most popular presentations being “Non-Verbal Precursors to Violence: A field study in body language” and “Awareness Avoidance & Action”, a situational awareness training program. As a court certified expert and “Subject Matter Expert” on the Arrest Control/Defensive Tactics SME Committee within Colorado POST (Peace Officers Standards and Training) he along with the committees are responsible for oversight of law enforcement certifications, training, and all police academies in the State of Colorado. His books “How to be a Super-Hero” and “The Modern Gunfighter” have both been best sellers on Amazon and continue to be amongst the top choices in their respective categories. James is among the highest ranks in Krav Maga with several worldwide recognized organizations and is one of the first and among still only a few Senior Krav Maga Instructors certified by Wingate Israel, the birthplace of Krav Maga and the organization responsible for national athletics in Israel. James was in the very first group of instructors to get licensed to teach Krav Maga in the US in 1997 and was only the 2nd in the US outside of the National Training Center to earn an Instructors Black Belt. James was also on the Krav Maga Worldwide Advisory Board and one of only a handful of Instructors that hold "Train the Trainer" status and who is qualified to train and certify instructors in the highest levels of Krav Maga and has personally certified hundreds of Krav Maga Instructors from across the globe. James developed the Tactical Krav Maga Firearms Training Division, along with other LEO Firearms Instructors, and the “Armed Civilian Training” system. In addition, James is also a Certified Firearms Instructor with the USCCA.
