"I had high expectations of the Defensive Pistol Program, all were met. Main objectives were to become a better and more confident shooter in regards to carry. I developed a smoother draw from concealment, faster reloads and gained consistent accuracy to stop a threat from five yards. Upon completion, my main goal was met. As a first-time gun owner, new shooter (less than five years) with CCW permit, I did not have the confidence to carry. I do now -- not only the physical abilities, but also the mindset. There is a psychological commitment as well: one should be mentally prepared to draw and fire if a threat warrants that response. It’s one thing to head out to the range for target practice, it’s another altogether to train as if there is an imminent threat. Each session was fast paced, intense, challenging and fun. After receiving a drill’s specific course of fire, much appreciated instruction was ongoing while shooting to remind me of aspects such as tempo; when to go for speed, when to slow a bit for accuracy. Videos taken and post-session summaries helped cement what was taught. Instruction by Paul Parks was straightforward, clear and precise. Paul is a consummate professional who loves his job and it shows. He is dedicated to training and every minute I felt his 100% commitment to me improving my skills. I highly recommend DPP to new and seasoned shooters alike. One can always learn, improve old and develop new skills. And never forget: Proficiency is a must with firearms."

"This course was fantastic. The pace was great, the drills were very useful and the trainer, Paul, was exceptional. I came out of the program way more equipped to concealed carry, and with a greatly improved level of confidence in my capabilities. Paul was able to correct accuracy issues and was excellent at redirecting where necessary. The overall experience was very good, and I will look to take more USCCA courses from Paul in the future."
