My Biography
Montana born and mostly Alaskan raised, I am a mom of three beautiful girls and a bonus son married to my oldest. I’ve enjoyed my life training horses, working K9s, commercial fishing, serving as first response, hazmat, Fish & Game, raising children, and not taking this beautiful life for granted. I currently serve as President of Fire/EMS, firearms instructor, and SAR. I believe strongly in a Constitutional Republic and serve tirelessly to keep our rights. As a hiker and K9 handler in search and rescue/recovery, I’ve always carried a firearm into the woods. I’ve been a lifelong supporter of 2A rights and always had them in my home. I know it isn’t just the bears that pose a threat out there and some of the cases I work involve a criminal element. I need to be protected but wisely. It wasn’t until I took an introductory class at Point Blank, that I realized there was so much more than just packing/owning a firearm to keep myself, others, and my family safe. With firearms comes great responsibility and the protection of our legal rights as well. My first class with Donna was an eye opener and had me seeking more knowledge. Before I knew it I was carrying a CCW card and an instructor in her class. I understand now what legalities come with my actions and how to better protect myself beyond the physical threat. How the use of protective force cannot and should not overstep it’s boundaries. I now have the training and can train others on how to draw, fire, and follow through so my life and others are best protected. How simple techniques and alterations can increase our skills tenfold. From all that I’ve gained in these classes I now want to pass that on to others for their protection. I know that we are all safer when we are properly educated.
