What You'll Learn
The West Virginia Concealed Handgun License (CHL) Training Course is designed to meet the training requirements for individuals applying for a West Virginia concealed handgun license. This course provides students with essential knowledge of firearm safety, handgun operation, and the legal responsibilities associated with carrying a concealed handgun in West Virginia.
Instruction includes a thorough review of safe handgun handling, storage, and transportation, as well as an overview of West Virginia firearm laws relevant to concealed carry. Students will learn where concealed carry is permitted and prohibited, the lawful use of force, and the responsibilities of a concealed handgun license holder. Emphasis is placed on safe, responsible, and lawful firearm ownership.
The course also covers basic handgun fundamentals and includes live‑fire range instruction to reinforce safe handling and marksmanship skills under the supervision of a qualified instructor. All training is conducted in a safe, structured environment with safety as the top priority.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a training certificate suitable for submission with a West Virginia CHL application, in accordance with state requirements.
This class is appropriate for:

- New or experienced handgun owners seeking formal training
- Those wishing to better understand concealed carry laws and responsibilities
Students must meet applicable age and eligibility requirements under West Virginia law.
The cost of the class is $100 with a $50 non-refundable deposit. Deposits may be applied to future classes if student is unable to attend.
Cancellation Policy: No refunds but payment can be applied to subsequent classes.
