What You'll Learn
This course introduces to the students the basic understanding of handguns, their functions and operation, and fundamentals of shooting safely and effectively. Training in this course includes: Practical Application (PRAC-APP)
Aspects of safe gun handling (Universal Gun Rules) Cycle of Operation (Semi Automatic Pistol) Nomenclature/Components of a handgun Disassemble/Reassemble a Handgun Grip/Stance Site Alignment/Site Picture Trigger Control Breathing Magazine Loading Chambering Rounds into a Firearm Basic fundamentals of pistol shooting
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class. SYWO Security Academy maintains a strict “No Refund” policy. Once tuition, deposits, or fees are paid, they are non-refundable under all circumstances. Students are encouraged to ensure their availability before registering for any course. Students can apply credit to same course at a later date or credit go towards another course. ALL credits MUST be used within 12 months.
What We'll Teach
Self-Defense Firearms Basics
This lesson will introduce you to a wealth of information on different types of self-defense firearms including handguns, home defense shotguns, and the AR-15 platform, where Michael Martin provides easy to understand explanations of the common terms used so frequently. The goal of this lesson is to de-mystify what can sometimes feel like a topic reserved for experts.
