What You'll Learn
Equip yourself with the knowledge and confidence necessary to responsibly exercise your Second Amendment rights. Our Virginia Concealed Handgun Permit course is a comprehensive curriculum powered by the United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA). This course specifically satisfies the training requirements mandated by the Commonwealth of Virginia to apply for your concealed handgun permit.
This is a high-impact, classroom-only lecture focused on the critical fundamentals of personal and home protection. We move beyond basic marksmanship to explore the "why" and "when" of self-defense. You will develop a personal protection plan centered on conflict avoidance and situational awareness, learning to recognize threats before they escalate using the Color Codes of Awareness.
The curriculum provides a deep dive into self-defense firearm basics, including safe handling, clearing malfunctions, and understanding modern handgun actions. You will also master the legal use of force, exploring the complex definitions of reasonable versus deadly force and what prosecutors look for in the aftermath of a violent encounter.
A unique highlight of this course is the interactive use-of-force scenarios. These exercises challenge your decision-making under pressure, helping you understand the physiological effects of adrenaline and how to interact with law enforcement if you are ever forced to defend yourself. Whether you are a first-time gun owner or an experienced shooter, this course provides the essential legal and tactical framework to keep you and your family safe.
