CONCEALED CARRY & HOME DEFENSE FUNDAMENTALS

In this course, you will learn the basics about how to handle and maintain different types of firearms and learn to build your confidence. We will be firing at private range located approximately 30 miles from the location of the classroom:
Date: Saturday 6 June, 2026 Classroom Location: 35 Woodford Dr, VA 22405 Start Time: 9:00am Class Details and What to Bring For your class you'll need the following materials:

• One clip board (optional)
• Highlighters
• Bug spray
• Please feel free to bring snacks/food & drinks.

• For the range, you will need your firearm, a belt, a ball cap, eye protection, and ear protection. For the range and the classroom you will need the following:

• your guns & holsters
• 5 snap caps (dummy ammo) per gun
• at least 2 magazines (if possible)
• a IWB Holster (preferably Kydex) What to expect during class:

The live fire test will not be from the holster ranging from 3 feet to 45 feet. We will start out firing one round at a time (marksmanship) and then move to defensive accuracy (firing 5-10 rounds at a moderately fast, but controlled pace). We will fire, using defensive accuracy at various distances including: 15 to 25 feet. We are aiming for a minimum of 80% of your rounds hitting the target. Please observe all safety & communication protocols. A. Please do NOT bring any ammo into the classroom. B*. Please leave ALL firearms and ammo in the TRUNK until requested to bring the firearms into the classroom/range. C. Please transport ALL the firearms UNLOADED in separate cases, in your trunk. D. Please keep the AMMO in a separate case in your trunk. E. If you have a wear and carry license for the states you will be traveling in, then please follow the laws of each jurisdiction. F. PS Class Policies:

1. There is NO LIVE AMMO allowed in the classroom.
2. Do not travel with AMMO in the same bag with your firearms (in MD).
3. Cell phones must be on vibrate or turned off.

Please note: Maintaining Finger Discipline The trigger finger shall be on the frame or slide (not on the trigger or touching the trigger guard), Unless you are on target AND have made the decision to shoot. Maintaining Muzzle Discipline Keep the muzzle pointed down range at the target/threat (Please avoid pointing the muzzle to the left, right, up/down. Please keep any firearm pointed at a threat/target.) Only.
