What You'll Learn
In person concealed carry course meeting the Virginia concealed carry requirements. This class covers Virginia state-specific concealed carry laws, and automatically includes the USCCA’s The Legal Use of Force, Self-Defense Firearms Basics and Defensive Shooting Fundamentals curriculum. This live-fire course combines the legal and practical aspects of concealed carry with hands-on firearms training. Students will practice firearm handling and shooting fundamentals in a safe classroom setting, relocating to a nearby state-of-the-art indoor range for live fire. Students are encouraged to bring their current or prospective concealed carry firearm for instructor assistance, NO AMMUNITION IS ALLOWED IN THE CLASSROOM! ALL FIREARMS WILL BE REQUIRED TO BE CLEARED BY THE INSTRUCTOR. Rental firearms are available at the indoor range.
Cancellation Policy: Payment is non-refundable. If notice is given at least 24 hours in advance, class fee can be transferred to another class within 90 days one time only. Students that "no show", "no call" or "no call, no show", without contacting the instructor prior to class, will forfeit their class fee funds.
What We'll Teach
Legal Use of Force
In this lesson, Michael Martin will cover important legal topics, including the laws governing the legal use of force inside and outside the home. Within this lesson, you’ll get a chance to test what you’ve learned, using several real world scenarios with you as the actor.
Additional Notes from Your Instructor
Note: This course is an excellent starting point for responsible firearm ownership, but additional live-fire training is a must and ongoing training is strongly recommended to refine and expand your skills. Water, coffee, cocoa, tea, drinks and snacks are all available at the classroom as a courtesy, or students are allowed to bring food or drink with them as desired.
