My Biography
Andréa E. Williams is a Personal Safety and Home Defense Consultant, Certified Firearms Instructor, Certified Concealed Carry Instructor, Range Safety Officer, Certified Glock Armorer and Retired Army Veteran. During her time in the Army, she serviced as a Military Police and Information Technology Specialist. She has over twenty years of experience in helping women to become more confident and equip with effective personal defense skills.
Andréa is passionate about empowering others to be their own hero. That passion led her to create Silhouettes Personal Safety (SPS); a personal safety and home defense consulting company. SPS provides education, training, consulting services, and advisement that prepares adults and children to reduce the probability of being harmed by a threat and how to neutralize versus types of threats.
In addition to passion for all things safety and defense, she is also a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and dedicated volunteer. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, hiking, and indulging in luxury self-care experiences.

The USCCA Instructor Development program is the most comprehensive in the industry. Instructors completing the program are qualified to teach the USCCA Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals curriculum, including Concealed Carry, Basic Handgun, Home Defense, and more!
As an instructor candidate, you are expected to perform at the instructor level on the range and in the classroom. The live fire shooting qualification is a ONE-TIME GO. That means if you don't qualify the first time, you will not pass the class.
This course is specifically tailored and NCDOJ approved to meet the requirements for the NC Concealed Firearm Permit Certificate to allow you to apply for your North Carolina Concealed Firearm permit.
To meet North Carolina requirements, the classroom time will be a minimum of 8 hours, including 2 hours of North Carolina law highlighting the use of deadly force.
The student will be required to take and pass a written exam. The student will be required to pass a live-fire qualification: 3 yards (9 feet), 5 yards (15 feet), and 7 yards (21 feet).
NOTE: The range is in a different area from the classroom. We will have to travel approximately 15-20 minutes to the range.

This course covers the universal safety rules, the mechanisms of a firearm, and the shooting fundamentals. This course is an ideal option for the student who wants to start their firearm journey as well as the student who wants to become more familiar with their firearm.

This course is NOT designed for a new or inexperienced shooter. We introduce the concept of defensive shooting and provide a baseline for the shooter to measure their shooting skillset and improve. We focus on close quarter engagement and basic tactical maneuvers.
