No one is coming to save you.
You are your own first responder
Dave Spaulding says "You must be an active participant in your own rescue."
Well? Are YOU going to do something about it?
Mass shootings have become all too familiar today and that is unacceptable. This course is designed to give you the information you require, along with the data to identify, reduce, control, and then eliminate these incidents.
Who should attend?
Church leaders, administration, teachers, volunteers, security, and parishioners. Parents, grandparents, and students. Anyone concerned about this type of event.
Instead of wondering: What can be done to stop this? You can say :THIS is what needs to be done to stop these events!
Instead of "hopes and prayers" you can have "Action and Solutions"
In this course, you will analyze data gathered from 48 mass shootings that have occurred since Columbine to determine what can learned from these tragedies, including whether a reduction in magazine capacity or the banning of any class of firearm would have changed the outcome.
You will also determine whether gun-free zones figure into the planning of these mass murderers; whether victim response at any mass shooting has made a difference; and whether universal background checks or other proposals by gun control advocates stand a chance of stemming the current trajectory of these shootings. At the end, you'll be able to use this data and develop a comprehensive plan designed to eliminate the scourge of these shooters once and for all.
This course will give you answers and a course of action.

Students will be trained to anchor and improve these essential skills under set time frames established in six (6) standards that will be shot during the course combining speed and combat accuracy.
This course is our doctrine, our flag ship, our foundation, how we at HC LLC think this should be done. Make no mistake, students will be pushed because when you face down a determined attacker, one must be resolute and confident their skills will work!

Additional Notes from Your Instructor We want your training experience to be the best. Please prepare yourself with the proper equipment so we can maximize your training time. We will not have time to be trying different pistols, holsters, etc. to "see what works best for you." Inside the waistband, outside the waistband, we don't care. It must, however, be concealed. Not just covered up. If I can look at you and immediately tell you have a pistol, that's not concealed.

The New Jersey Non-Resident CCW Course is designed for individuals who are not residents of New Jersey but wish to obtain a New Jersey concealed carry permit. This class provides practical, comprehensive training in a supportive environment, covering topics such as firearm safety, handling, and New Jersey's specific laws and regulations.
This 3-hour course requires a valid New York State or New York City Pistol License for enrollment. Included in the session is the required New Jersey classroom lecture followed by live fire practice, and then, the required New Jersey live fire qualification.

After meeting the New Jersey qualification requirements, you can apply online through the New Jersey State Police (NJSP) portal. The application requires you to provide four references and finger printing through IdentoGo. The entire process does not require you to travel to New Jersey.

Less-Lethal Self-Defense Course featuring TASER®
Because Not Every Threat Calls for a Gun... But Every Threat Demands a Plan.
What happens when pepper spray isn't enough—but deadly force isn't justified?
Would you have another option?
The TASER® is one of the most effective less-lethal self-defense tools available today, giving responsible citizens another way to stop a violent attack while potentially avoiding the need to use a firearm.
The most prepared defenders don't rely on just one tool—they develop options.
That's the philosophy behind the USCCA's Complete Self-Defense® mindset. Personal protection isn't just about carrying a firearm; it's about recognizing threats, understanding the law, making sound decisions under stress, and having the right response for the situation you're facing. A TASER is an important part of that layered approach to personal safety.
Whether you carry concealed every day, rely on pepper spray, or simply want to be better prepared to protect yourself and your loved ones, this course will give you the knowledge and confidence to safely and responsibly integrate a TASER into your personal defense plan.
Why Take This Course?
Owning a TASER is more than buying another piece of equipment.
It's understanding:
When a TASER is the better option. When it isn't. How to deploy it effectively under stress. What happens after you use it. How New York law applies to its possession and use.
Many people don't realize that New York's law regarding civilian possession of TASER devices has changed significantly over the last several years. While the statute remains in the Penal Law, federal court decisions—including the U.S. Supreme Court's rulings in District of Columbia v. Heller and Caetano v. Massachusetts, followed by the Northern District of New York's decision in Avitabile v. Beach—have recognized constitutional protections for these less-lethal defensive tools. We'll explain what those decisions mean, what the current legal landscape looks like, and how to carry and use your TASER responsibly.
Knowledge is just as important as the equipment you carry.
What You'll Learn
This comprehensive classroom and hands-on course covers:
✔ Understanding the civilian TASER platform
✔ How the TASER works and what it does
✔ Safe handling and operation
✔ Proper deployment techniques
✔ New York Use of Force laws
✔ Legal considerations before, during, and after deployment
✔ When a TASER is—and isn't—the appropriate response
✔ Device maintenance and troubleshooting
✔ Practical familiarization drills to build confidence
You'll leave with more than information—you'll leave with practical skills and a better understanding of how to make sound decisions during one of the most stressful moments of your life.
Hands-On Training
This isn't just a lecture.
Students will handle and operate TASER training equipment while learning proper deployment techniques in a safe, instructor-led environment.

(No matter how much you ask.)

USCCA Non-Lethal Self-Defense: Introduction to Byrna Less-Lethal Pistols Looking for practical personal-protection options beyond traditional firearms? This welcoming, hands-on course introduces the Byrna less-lethal pistol as part of a broader non-lethal self-defense plan. Designed for new owners, curious first-time students, and anyone who wants to better understand their options, this course combines the fundamentals of safe Byrna operation with the decision-making skills that matter before, during, and after a potential self-defense encounter. You do not need prior firearms experience to attend. Students will learn how less-lethal tools can fit into a layered personal-safety strategy, including awareness, avoidance, communication, distance management, and responsible deployment. The goal is not simply to learn how the device works—it is to build the confidence to make informed, responsible choices. In this course, you will learn: What Byrna less-lethal pistols are, how they work, and where they may fit within a personal-protection plan The components, controls, features, and safe operation of the Byrna platform Available projectile options, their intended uses, and considerations for selecting the appropriate option Safe handling, loading, unloading, storage, maintenance, and transport practices Foundational shooting skills, including grip, stance, sight use, trigger control, and follow-through How to think through personal-safety situations using awareness, communication, movement, and distance When a less-lethal option may be appropriate—and when it may not be Important legal and practical considerations surrounding the ownership and defensive use of less-lethal devices This is a supportive, judgment-free learning environment where questions are encouraged. Students will have the opportunity to handle and use the equipment under instructor guidance while developing practical skills at a comfortable pace. By the end of the course, you will have a solid foundation in Byrna operation, safe handling, and practical application. More importantly, you will leave with a clearer understanding of how a less-lethal tool can support a thoughtful, responsible approach to personal protection. Equipment If you already own a Byrna, you are welcome to bring your Byrna less-lethal kit, eye protection, kinetic or Eco-Kinetic projectiles, and a few CO₂ cylinders. If you do not yet own a Byrna, we will provide the equipment and materials needed for you to participate during the course. Byrna Purchase Discount Registered attendees are eligible to receive 10% off a Byrna pistol. Available models and colors may vary by inventory. If your preferred model or color is not currently in stock, we will be happy to order it for you as quickly as possible. Important Note Byrna less-lethal systems are not classified as firearms. In New York, they generally do not require a background check or permit to own, carry, or use; however, laws and local restrictions can change, and students are responsible for understanding the rules that apply where they live, travel, and carry. The minimum age to possess a device powered by spring, compressed air, or gas is 16 years old.
