Take this class along with the Emergency First Aid class. Both classes can be completed in one day Together, in this Countering the Mass Shooter Threat course, we will analyze data gathered from 48 mass shootings that have occurred since Columbine, to determine what can learned from these tragedies, including whether a reduction in magazine capacity or the banning of any class of firearm would have changed the outcome. Michael Martin also looks at whether gun-free zones figure into the planning of these mass murderers; whether victim response at any mass shooting has made a difference; and whether universal background checks or other proposals by gun control advocates stand a chance of stemming the current trajectory of these shootings. USCCA summarizes this data with a comprehensive plan designed to eliminate the scourge of these shooters once and for all. This course is presented in an easy-to-follow format, including a textbook, with information for all experience levels. Essential lessons on topics like gun-free zones, magazine capacity, and using the Run, Hide, Fight methodology are already saving lives across the country. Here are just a few of the lifesaving lessons you will learn in this class: Create An Emergency Operations Plan: Discover how you can end attacks early and minimize the number of victims involved in an incident with strategic planning and preparedness training. Triage And Treat The Wounded: Learn the lifesaving materials and measures you can take to save critically injured victims immediately after an attack is over. Expert Recommendations: Get advice on topics like how to properly develop an Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) for your home, church, or place of business. Understand Your Attacker: Dive into the history of mass shootings, what the statistics tell us, and what your aggressor is likely thinking. Debunk Common Myths: Finally get your questions about magazine capacity, banning firearms, and special watch lists answered. Know The Signs: Uncover how you can identify and deter potential shooters before they strike. The course also includes a copy of the book: Countering the Mass Shooter Threat by Michael Martin.

Take this class along with the Countering the Mass Shooter Threat class. Both classes can be completed in one day Would you know what to do if you were deep in the wilderness, and a hunting companion sustained a penetrating chest wound from an errant round? Could you prolong the life of a loved one long enough for the ambulance to arrive, if he or she had sustained a lacerated artery from a violent attacker armed with a knife? While most Americans are comfortable dealing with the cuts and scrapes of everyday life, and tens of thousands have learned the Heimlich maneuver and CPR, most individuals would be a bit less comfortable dealing with severe, life threatening injuries or illnesses when seconds count, and EMS personnel and the emergency room are minutes (or longer) away. In this course, written by USCCA Chief Instructor (and certified firefighter and EMT) Michael Martin not only explains the proper way to access a patient, he also covers in great detail the proper way to deal with significant issues such as serious bleeding, chest injuries, a compromised airway, spinal injuries, broken bones, and more. While it might seem unrealistic to translate what professional EMTs and paramedics are able to do in an emergency versus the things that non-professionals would be capable of, but in life threatening medical and traumatic emergencies, it all boils down to the same thing 14 sustaining the life of the patient until he or she can be delivered to the emergency room. This course also includes a copy of the book: Emergency First Aid Fundamentals by Micheal Martin. You will be provided with a 'USCCA Proof of Training Certificate' upon successful completion of this course. This Emergency First Aid Fundamentals course certification meets OSHA first aid standard as outlined in Title 29 of the Code of Federal Regulations 29 CFR 1910.151(b).

Created by a woman for women, Beth Alcazar, USCCA Associate Editor and Senior Training Counselor, Womens Handgun and Self-Defense Fundamentals is a welcoming and engaging training course with multiple layers of instruction. This course, featuring three distinct levels that can be separated or taken in combination (Womens Basic Pistol, Womens Intermediate Pistol, and Womens Defensive Pistol), the course is designed to reach students who are brand new to firearms (and maybe have never picked up a gun before) through those who are ready to learn more about defensive shooting and take the next step with their firearms skills, tools, and mindset. This course covers only Basic and Intermediate Levels, and does include range time. The Advanced level is taught the following day, also with range time, for an additional minimal fee to cover expenses. The fundamentals of shooting will be introduced, reviewed, and built upon, while also exploring universal safety rules, situational awareness, common types of handguns, ammunition types, marksmanship skills, advanced firearms handling, defensive pistol fundamentals, and the use of deadly force. Specifically, Womens Handgun and Self-Defense Fundamentals is all about sharing the basics, along with the fun, the seriousness, and the importance of being a responsibly armed female. USCCA has taken the FEMA Active Shooter curriculum, and updated and improved its precepts. In the 'Church Safety: Protecting your Congregation' course, we not only teach you responses to this threat, but also suggest a plan to eliminate the scourge of these shooters, once and for all.
Together, in this 'Church Safety: Protecting your Congregation course,' we will analyze data gathered from mass shootings that have occurred, to determine what can learned from these tragedies, including whether a reduction in magazine capacity or the banning of any class of firearm would have changed the outcome. Michael Martin, author of this book, also looks at whether “gun-free” zones figure into the planning of these mass murderers; whether victim response at any mass shooting has made a difference; and whether “universal background checks” or other proposals by gun control advocates stand a chance of stemming the current trajectory of these shootings.
In this class we will cover:
How to identify job-related activities that put agents at risk of an attack.
Situational Awareness: Teach students the finer points of tuning into their environment, helping them avoid a potentially violent encounter.
Commonly used cell phone safety features and apps that can be used to keep agents safe.
Legal use-of-force: What criteria must be met before an agent can use reasonable or lethal, non-lethal, or lethal force, and the consequences that might follow.
Defensive Options: armed, unarmed and less lethal.
