A personal and home-protection plan is the foundation of responsible self-defense. This lesson teaches students how to recognize threats early, avoid danger whenever possible, and make legally sound decisions if a situation escalates.

In this live, instructor-led session conducted via Zoom, students learn how situational awareness, conflict avoidance, and preparation can provide critical seconds that make the difference between escape and confrontation. You’ll explore how criminals select targets, how to avoid looking like an easy victim, and how to identify danger zones before you’re forced to react.

The course also covers practical strategies for protecting your home, including entry points criminals use most often, how to strengthen doors and windows, how alarms and lighting affect risk, and how to build a simple, effective home-defense plan for your family.

Finally, you’ll learn how mental rehearsal and planning help bridge the gap between range training and real-world encounters, and how permits to carry fit into a complete personal-protection strategy.

    Topics include:

    • The purpose of a personal and home-protection plan
    • Conflict avoidance and the “reasonable person” standard
    • Situational awareness and the color codes of awareness
    • Threat detection, danger zones, and time-distance principles
    • Not looking like a victim
    • Home security and home-defense planning
    • Mental exercises for decision-making under stress
    • How permits to carry fit into a protection strategy

This session provides a practical, real-world framework for staying safe in public and at home — before violence ever becomes the only option.

This virtual mini course provides a practical, beginner-friendly introduction to the core concepts every responsible firearm owner should understand for personal protection and home defense.

Students will learn the universal firearm safety rules, how to safely clear and handle handguns, and gain a clear understanding of how different firearm platforms function, including revolvers, semi-automatics, and striker-fired pistols.

The course also covers handgun ammunition, common malfunctions and how to clear them, and introduces home-defense options such as shotguns, the AR-15 platform, and non-lethal use-of-force tools.

This course emphasizes safety, informed decision-making, and responsible ownership, making it ideal for new gun owners, concealed carry applicants, or anyone seeking a strong foundational understanding of defensive firearms.

    Perfect for:

    New or first-time firearm owners

    Concealed carry students

    Home defense-minded individuals

Anyone wanting to build safe, confident firearm fundamentals

Please note: Due to limited availability and capacity, there are no cancellations, rain checks, or refunds.

This virtual mini course focuses on the essential skills required for real-world defensive shooting, emphasizing practical performance under stress rather than traditional range marksmanship.

Students will learn how defensive encounters differ from standard target shooting, how to build effective muscle memory, and how to apply a proper grip, natural shooting platform, and efficient trigger control. The course also covers key concepts such as point/instinctive shooting, flash sight picture, precise sight alignment, and balancing speed with accuracy in close, high-stress situations.

This course is designed to help shooters develop the ability to deliver accurate, controlled fire quickly and safely in realistic self-defense contexts.

    Ideal for:

    Concealed carry holders

    Home defense-minded firearm owners

Shooters transitioning from range practice to defensive application

Anyone seeking practical, real-world shooting fundamentals

Please note: Due to limited availability and capacity, there are no cancellations, rain checks, or refunds.
