My Biography

A native of the farming/ hunting communities of Southern Virginia, Jill is the daughter to a retired Health & Safety Professional and late Law Enforcement Officer. She is also the wife of a USAF Veteran/ Industrial Safety Professional and happily labeled a “Boy Mom.” Jill volunteers her spare time to educate others on 2nd Amendment history and rights, safety education, and laws. She is the East Coast Lead for 1 Million Moms Against Gun Control, the creator of an investigative, "sleuthing" site called Mom-At-Arms, Virginia State Director for The DC Project: Women For Gun Rights, as well as Academy Director for the Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL). Jill's main purpose as a firearms instructor is to make sure that everyone... women, men, and entire families... are aware of their civil & inalienable right to firearm ownership for self defense & preservation, as well as the responsibilities that come with the choice of exercising that right.

Getting your Virginia Concealed Handgun Permit isn't the finish line. It's the beginning of your journey as a responsible firearm owner.

Beyond the Permit was created for women who understand that confidence comes through continued education, practice, and preparation. Whether you already have your Virginia Concealed Handgun Permit, recently completed a permit course, or are considering obtaining your permit for the first time, this class is designed to strengthen your knowledge and build practical skills that extend far beyond the classroom.

Topics Include:

• Firearm Safety Review • Safe Handling & Operation • Cleaning & Maintenance • Safe Storage at Home & In Your Vehicle • Carry Methods & Holster Considerations • Ammunition Basics • Defensive Mindset • Situational Awareness • Dry Fire Practice • Equipment Recommendations • Open Q&A

Who Should Attend?

• Women who currently hold a Virginia Concealed Handgun Permit. • Women who have completed a permit course and want additional education. • Women considering concealed carry who want to satisfy Virginia's training requirement while receiving a more comprehensive educational experience. • Any woman who wants to become a safer, more confident, and more prepared firearm owner.
