I’m a Certified USCCA Instructor who is passionate about helping everyday people gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence to protect themselves and the people they love. Whether you’re purchasing your first firearm or you’re an experienced concealed carrier looking to sharpen your skills, I’m committed to providing practical, hands-on training that prepares you for the real world.
I believe responsible gun ownership starts with a strong foundation in safety, mindset, and the law. My classes are interactive, straightforward, and focused on building confidence—not just passing a qualification. I strive to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where students can ask questions, develop their abilities, and leave feeling prepared to defend themselves responsibly.
My goal is simple: to help you become a safer, more confident, and more capable armed citizen.

we offer a hands-on Gun Cleaning Class taught alongside our Basic Handgun course. Students will not only learn the fundamentals of safe firearm handling, but also gain step-by-step instruction on proper cleaning, tool selection, and routine maintenance. This combination ensures you leave with both the confidence to operate your firearm safely and the skills to keep it reliable and ready when you need it.

Over 1 million students have taken the U.S. Concealed Carry Association’s course offerings across the nation. Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive classroom course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. If you are new to handguns, this is a great introduction to everything you need to know to start your self-protection journey.
This course is a complete guide to understanding the basics of firearms ownership, safety, and nomenclature, and how it applies to home- or self-defense. After this class, students will feel confident to act as their family’s first line of defense in the event of a home invasion or other critical incident.
Your Illinois Concealed Carry license must be renewed every 5 years. By Illinois law you have to take a 3 hour refresher course and shoot a qualification course.
Our 3 hour renewal course will cover the following topics:
Updates to Illinois or federal firearms laws governing concealed carry in Illinois.
Updates on use of force laws and IL criminal statutes.
Appropriate and lawful interaction with law enforcement while transporting or carrying a concealed firearm.
A live fire qualification:
Using a B-27 silhouette targe
30 rounds
10 rounds from a distance of 15 feet
10 rounds from a distance of 21 feet
10 rounds from a distance of 30 feet
70% score to pass (21 hits).
NOTE: All firearms for this class must be cased when entering the store. Firearms will not be allowed to be drawn from a holster.
Requirements:
A firearm intended for concealed carry. We have firearms for rent if needed, our ammunition must be used in rental firearms.
Aminimum of 30 rounds of ammunition for the firearm you intend to use in the class. If you believe you may not pass the qualification on the first attempt, bring more ammunition.
At least two magazines for the firearm you intend to shoot.
If your firearm is a revolver please bring at least one speed loader or speed strip.
We will not allow single action revolver use for the renewal class.
This beginner-friendly firearms course is designed specifically for first-time shooters. You will learn the fundamentals of safe firearm handling, operation, and storage in a clear, supportive environment. Instruction is led by a USCCA and Illinois State Police–certified firearms instructor.
The class includes supervised range instruction, where you will have the opportunity to safely try a variety of firearms. This hands-on experience helps you build confidence and determine which firearm best fits your comfort level and needs.
