During these times, it becomes necessary to consider the specialized personal defense needs of Jewish people, their families, institutions, and those who support and love the Jews in their lives.
This workshop delves into the particular circumstances of being Jewish in the current world, and what can be done to maintain situational awareness, prepare for self-defense, and defend oneself, family, friends, and places, from the threat of incursion and attack.
Attention will be given to personal defense, and defending the home, classroom, event venue, and synagogue. Topics include less lethal defensive tools and tactics, target hardening, and firearms choices and operation. Additional subjects will be included as prescribed for each workshop.
The principal instructor at Guardian Angel Academy, Michael Angel, grew up in Conservative and Chasidic communities, and has experience in law enforcement, investigation, personal and corporate security, and defensive training.
Please contact Michael Angel for further information, and to design and schedule a workshop.
Less Lethal Personal Defense
There may be those situations when personal or home defense does not require the use of a firearm, or you might not want to use lethal force under certain circumstances.
This course addresses situational awareness, skills, and tools that may be useful during a self-defense encounter when non-lethal methods are determined by you to be the best course of action.
We will look at the use of verbal persuasion, body language, hands-on defensive actions; and such devices as pepper gel, stun guns, air-powered projectile launchers, batons, and other less lethal items.
No experience is necessary. Examples of less lethal equipment will be available for demonstrations during the class. Wear comfortable clothing for an active classroom and outdoor range setting.
National Train A Teacher Day is a grass roots movement from the Professional Firearms Training Community that started in 2018.
We are working as a nationwide unified front to offer FREE training on Saturday, June 22nd, 2024, to teachers, school staff, administrators, and those who work with youth in a leadership capacity.
The main objective is to protect kids. Educating and empowering teachers, staff, administrators, and youth leaders will help with that objective.
Guardian Angel Academy has joined National Train A Teacher Day to proactively educate educators.
Training may include basic gun safety, first aid, alternative defensive tools, crime prevention, defensive firearm training, or purpose-built active shooter response in a school.
The purpose is to empower those who receive the training.
The protection and security of our children is not a “gun” debate. We simply want educators to have information about all legal means to protect themselves and others in the school setting.
NTATD is dedicated to helping the American educators be responsibly armed and trained defenders.
National Train A Teacher Day offers something for everyone. Firearms are not for everyone, however education is. Teachers, school staff, administrators, and educational leaders can choose to learn how to actively defend against attackers, administer aid if an attack occurs, or how to potentially deter attacks.
This class is taught by USCCA-certified professionals, and is offered free of charge to members of the educational community. Please contact Guardian Angel Academy for more information.
