This course is a complete guide to understanding the basics of firearms ownership, safety, and nomenclature, and how it applies to home- or self-defense. After this class, students will feel confident to act as their family’s first line of defense in the event of a home invasion or other critical incident.

The Texas LTC/Open Carry range qualification consists of; -Firing a total of 50 rounds using a specific course of fire. -The pistol must be a minimum of .22 LR caliber. -Must be in good working condition. -Handguns are subject to inspection. -No optical sights (scopes, laser, holographic) -If using revolver -no push off on single action. -You may qualify with a revolver or semi-auto pistol. The Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA), often referred to as HR 218, allows qualified Law Enforcement officers (LEOs) and qualified retired LEOs (RLEOs) to concealed carry in any jurisdiction in the United States, regardless of state or local laws, with some exceptions. It was enacted in 2004 and amended in 2010 and 2013. 18 U.S. Code §§ 926B & 926C Therefore, an individual who qualifies under LEOSA does not need a state-issued concealed carry permit in order to carry a concealed firearm in any state.
