You will need to bring your Photo ID and your class fee ($90 for a new permit, or $70 for renewal). This class will earn you a certificate that says that you have completed the MN permit to carry course, and you are then allowed to get a MN permit to carry issued by the County Sheriff where you reside. We will cover the different functions of handguns and how to use them, along with the laws on use of deadly force, and how to safely carry a firearm in public. We will also briefly go over home defense, and what your brain and body go through during a violent encounter.
Completing this class will allow you to apply for a MN permit to carry, and you will learn everything you need to know about legally carrying within MN.
