Completing your e-learning is a pre-requisite for this class and it will be available to you immediately so you can get started right away. Take your time, explore all the widgets and videos. This e-learning is narrated by Michael Martin for you and covers all the slides you can use when teaching the USCCA Conceal Carry Home Defense Fundamentals course to your future students.
In class we'll cover how to break these power point slides up into 3 separate courses... Basic Handgun, Home Defense Fundamentals or the full Conceal Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals. We'll also talk about other ways you can benefit from this incredible power point by offering your future students "mini" courses using the 7 Lesson Plans individually.
The class runs approximately 4 hours and includes your application to apply for an Utah Non-Resident Concealed Firearm Permit, completed finger print card, passport photo and the envelope to mail it in. We will meet in the classroom briefly to go over a few items then head to the range. We will be carpooling with the fewest number of vehicles possible. Please bring any food and drinks you'll need for the day as well as any weather related gear you need. After the range, we will head back to the classroom for a debrief and to pass out your certificates.
This DSF Level 2 course will be an abbreviated version of the all day course. There will be a short amount of time spent in the classroom before we head to the range then we'll spend a short amount of time after the range to debrief.
DSF Level 2 uses everything you learned in Level 1 but adds in critical thinking skills. We must learn to process information quickly before we shoot.
We're going to spend very little time in the classroom setting... 30 minutes first thing in the morning and about 30 minutes at the end of the day to debrief. Be prepared for an outdoor day, regardless of the weather. You'll need to bring your lunch, snacks and drinks for the day because once we're on the range, we're not leaving until we're done.
This seminar will cover non-lethal or less than lethal options available for those who don't want to carry a firearm or those who can't carry a firearm for self protection. We will have products demonstrate with and look at but not to purchase. We can direct you to where they can be purchased once you decide on which items will work best for you.
