Dingmans Shooting Range

This class is an introductory class aimed at beginner pistol shooters, those who recently purchased their first gun or are looking to purchase their first gun. The class will include one hour of instruction on gun safety in the home, what to expect at the range, how to operate and safely handle a pistol as well as proper shooting techniques. This will be followed by one hour of live fire practice. Students will bring their own firearms or rent one of ours for an additional $10 fee. Any ammo purchased and gun rental will be paid for upon arrival to the class. Please arrive by 5:15 pm for check in.

Pistol Fundamentals is a class designed for individuals who have taken either our Beginner/Introductory Pistol class or Ladies Night class before and/or are already familiar with the basics of loading and firing a semi automatic handgun. (Enrollment in previous classes first is not required but recommended if you aren’t at least somewhat familiar with the operation of your firearm)

This class will take it a step further. While not as dynamic or advanced as our Tactical Defensive Series, Pistol Fundamentals will provide students with the opportunity to learn how to better “run their gun” rather than just sending lead down range. Students will learn how to identify and remedy pistol malfunctions and other stoppages, learn reloading techniques, master fundamentals both on the line and with dry fire practice, control recoil, and learn the basics of holster types and holster techniques.

This class is best suited for people who already have their own firearm and would like to better learn how to run it in a more realistic self defense environment. Rentals will be available for an additional $10 per student (payable upon arrival to the class) plus ammunition.

USCCA’s “Women’s Handgun & Self-Defense Fundamentals” is a welcoming and engaging training guide created by a woman for women who are seeking to begin, improve upon, or add to their firearms skills. In this course, you will lay the foundation for handgun basics through topics like “The 4 Universal Safety Rules,” understanding firearms, clearing semi-automatic handguns, stance and grip, trigger control, and a multitude of other skills that are necessary for the proper and safe operation of a handgun.

Students will bring their own firearms and ammunition (Min 50 rounds) or rent one of ours for an additional $10 fee (plus ammunition cost). Eye and ear protection and targets included.

Cost for the class is set at $95 per student and must be paid at time of enrollment. The additional $10 rental fee and any ammo purchased will be paid for upon arrival to the class.

Class begins at 5:30PM. Please arrive by 5:15PM for check in.

Following a similar format to our Introductory Pistol course this class is an introductory class aimed at beginner rifle shooters or those who recently purchased their first rifle or are looking to purchase their first rifle.

The class will include one our of instruction on gun safety in the home, what to expect at the range, how to operate and safely handle a rifle as well as proper shooting techniques. This will be followed by one hour of live fire practice.

Students will bring their own firearms and ammunition or rent one of ours for an additional $15 fee (plus ammunition cost). Eye protection, ear protection & targets are included.

Cost for the class is set at $135 per student and must be paid at time of enrollment. The additional $15 rental fee and any ammo purchased will be paid for upon arrival to the class.

This is a class for children ages 7-13 years of age and is targeted at children with little to no experience with firearms. In this class students will receive instruction on AIRSOFT PISTOLS (not live firearms) and learn the fundamentals of firearm safety and basic pistol skills. The class will include classroom time where students will learn the basics of firearm safety, what to do if they encounter firearms in the home and the basics of firearm handling. Students will then complete shooting on airsoft pistols to demonstrate the skills they have learned under the close supervision of certified instructors. Fee will cover tuition, targets, airsoft pistol and ammunition as well as safety gear. Children MUST be accompanied by an adult (18+) at all times during the class. Please arrive by 5:15 pm for check in.

Upon successful completion of this class and shooting qualification you will have everything you need to apply for your NJ concealed carry permit. We will walk you through the process step by step to ensure you have everything you need and your application is correctly completed. This class is open to residents of all states.

You will be required to safely draw from a holster, perform magazine changes and clear any malfunctions as needed. Please contact us if you would like to schedule a lesson prior to the qualification if you would like to review these skills. The cost for this is not included in the class registration fee.
