Choosing the Right Firearm, Holster & Everyday Carry Setup
Selecting a firearm for personal protection can be overwhelming. With countless handgun models, holster options, carry positions, and gear choices available, many new and experienced gun owners struggle to determine what equipment best fits their needs.
This seminar is designed to help students make informed decisions when selecting a defensive firearm and building an everyday carry system. Participants will learn the advantages and disadvantages of various handgun sizes, calibers, holster styles, carry methods, and support equipment. The seminar also explores practical considerations such as concealment, comfort, reliability, accessibility, and safe carry practices.
Rather than focusing on specific brands, this course provides a framework for evaluating equipment based on individual needs, lifestyle, experience level, and intended use.
Whether you are considering your first carry firearm or looking to improve your current setup, this seminar will provide practical guidance to help you carry confidently and effectively.
No firearms are required for attendance.
Violent Encounters: Understanding the Dynamics of an Attack
Violence is rarely random. Criminals often follow predictable patterns when selecting victims and initiating attacks. Understanding how violent encounters develop can help you recognize danger earlier, make better decisions under stress, and improve your ability to protect yourself and those around you.
In this seminar, students will explore common criminal behaviors, pre-assault indicators, victim selection, the physiological effects of stress, and practical strategies for avoidance, de-escalation, and personal safety. Through real-world examples and interactive discussion, participants will gain valuable insight into how violent encounters unfold and what actions can increase their chances of avoiding or surviving them.
This seminar is appropriate for anyone interested in personal safety, situational awareness, and understanding the realities of violent crime. No firearms or self-defense experience is required.
Violent encounters rarely unfold the way people imagine. Through the examination of real-world defensive incidents, this seminar explores how ordinary citizens have faced criminal attacks, home invasions, robberies, and other violent encounters. Students will analyze the events leading up to these incidents, identify warning signs that were missed or recognized, evaluate decision-making under stress, and discuss the legal, emotional, and practical aftermath of self-defense situations.
This discussion-based seminar focuses on extracting actionable lessons that can improve personal safety, situational awareness, and preparedness. Whether you carry a firearm or simply want to better protect yourself and your family, understanding how real incidents develop can provide valuable insight into making better decisions before, during, and after a critical event.
No firearms or prior training experience are required.
