My Biography
Dan and Gabby are Gunnison locals who have been training folks in the valley since 2022. Together they run Carbon Limb, LLC and co-instruct CCW and CCW Refresher courses at the Gunnison Sportsmen's Association. Our concealed handgun permit (CHP) refresher course is for folks who obtained a permit five years ago and need to renew it. This course qualifies permit holders to renew their permit in the state of Colorado.
As part of this CHP refresher course, students will complete 2 hours of classroom instruction, complete a 30-minute quiz, and spend 2 hours on the range.
Please keep in mind that if your concealed carry permit expired more than 6 months ago, Colorado requires you to complete a full-length Concealed Carry class, which we do offer!
Join Carbon Limb instructors Dan and Gabby for two hours of small group instruction at the Gunnison Sportmen's Association. This co-ed class is for advanced pistol shooters. Drills will include working from the holster, reloads, nontraditional shooting positions, movement, and more.
You are welcome to bring open carry holsters, concealed carry holsters, flashlights, weapon-mounted lights, lasers, red dots, extra magazines, and other gear.
