My Biography
Instructor Bravo has a career path that has developed his passion for training including: Close Protective Detail Operations / Corporate Executive Protection, Critical Infrastructure Security and Law Enforcement. During this time he held many positions as a supervisor and interdepartmental agency instructor teaching tactical handgun, patrol carbine, defensive tactics, spontaneous knife defense, chemical defense, and close protection operations. Currently he is traveling as a National Firearms Instructor / Instructor-Trainer and works as a sworn police officer on the streets. As an SME (Subject Matter Expert) he is taking the best training in the industry and creating custom courses for the civilian, security, and law enforcement communities.

During the classroom session we will be having a working lunch. You are welcome to bring food, snacks and beverage to the class. After the classroom session we will be traveling to Hoosier Hills Rifle and Pistol Club on Camp Moneto Rd in Knaw Bone, IN.
The use of handguns and ammunition for the live fire training session are provided by Bravo Tactical and included in the cost of the course.
An intense and fast-paced course focused on the practical application of a handgun. This course will help refine your marksmanship and key skills needed to effectively utilize a handgun in a, fluid, and life-threatening situation. By using the Bravo Assessment Drill, we provide a structured way to measure your baseline before pushing into dynamic movement. Explore the possibilities of increasing your speed and accuracy at common engagement distances. Mastery of these key skills will not only be lifesaving in defensive shootings but will also make you a force multiplier.
Prerequisite: The student should have a familarization with their handgun and not be new to how it functions or the use of their sighting system (irons/red dot). Prior experience going to the range, loading and unloading, shooting marksmanship at a stationary target is good experience to prep you for this course.
Equipment Needed: Students will provide their own ammo: 500 rounds preferred. Hardware – A functional and practical handgun chambered in standard defensive caliber (no .22cal). If available, a spare weapon system is also an excellent idea. Each student should have a minimum of 3 working magazines. Single stack guns should have 4 working magazines.
• Clothing suited to strenuous activity as well as being seasonally appropriate. • Rain gear / cold weather gear (seasonal). • Ear pro (electronic preferred) / Eye pro. • Baseball style hat recommended. • Proper belt to support equipment. • Pistol • A OWB kydex pistol holster and double magazine pouch that will retain equipment when moving • Water hydrating device • Folding chair and table (optional) • Snacks - lunch – drinks.
The student will learn (through repetition) the essential skills needed to perform efficient and effective weapon system manipulation. Designed to help the intermediate and advanced shooter deploy proper shooting fundamentals while learning their personal balance between speed and accuracy. Subjects that we cover are: proper gear placement, the fundamentals, BSA template, administrative loads, critical incident reloads, tactical reloads, solving for malfunctions, getting off the line of attack, challenge commands, various shooting positions, use of cover and more.
Equipment Needed: Students will provide their own ammo: 500 rounds preferred. Hardware – A functional and semi-auto handgun (with 10 round minimum capacity) chambered in standard defensive caliber (.380 cal, 9mm, 40 cal, 45 cal). If available, a spare weapon system is also an excellent idea. Each student should have a minimum of 3 working magazines. Single stack drivers should have 4 working magazines.

This is a ILEA (Indiana Law Enforcement Academy) accredited course and provides 8 hours of in-service training credit for law enforcement. Please bring your PSID number to class.
This is a 4-day Instructor Certification Course that is designed to help the currently Certified Firearms Instructor go to the next level. Instructors are taught how to effectively teach students firearm skills and develop dynamic and practical range training relevant to their business or client needs. Drills on the range enforce skills in the areas of defensive shooting accuracy, reloads, malfunctions, multiple threats, decision-making, turning drills, challenge commands, identifying threats, tactical use of cover, firing from various positions, and use of verbal commands. Instructors will create their own intermediate-level course and demonstrate their understanding by teaching the course they created using peer and instructor feedback.
One unique advantage of Bravo Tactical courses is that we bring the "range to the road". This means we travel and supply, for your use, various range equipment for you to teach your intermediate-range drills. This includes an eight-pack steel targeting system, numerous portable target stands, various silhouette/command/shoot and no-shoot targets, vertical/horizontal and V-TAC barricades, orange ground cones, a shot-timer, and more.
This course provides you not only the information but will help you develop the skills and confidence to create and safely administer your own custom firearms training courses. This will allow you to build performance-based curriculum for your customers using a systematic approach to training, ultimately creating new streams of revenue for your training business and a better overall student/instructor experience.
Day 1 - Classroom Only: is either done as a live Zoom (or in-person classroom for local attendees) session where we will take a serious deep dive into: Defining Intermediate Firearms Training Firearms Safety Range Safety - Running a Hot Range or Cold Range The Safety Brief, Emergency Medical Plans and Participant Waivers First Aid Trauma Response (IFAK) - A Hands-On Approach to Range Trauma Response and Treatment Lesson Plan Design and Documenting Your Training Course Using Indoor and/or Outdoor Ranges for your Classes Range Equipment - Training Aids and Target Selection to Meet Your Training Objectives Running Line Drills - Teaching in Isolation with Repetition Determining Intermediate Firearms Skills and Using the Systematic Approach to Training
Day 2 - Classroom and Range: The attendees will participate in first aid trauma response training course utilizing the M.A.R.C.H acronym to learn how to use the medical items found in a common IFAK kit to treat life threatening injuries. Additionally, attendees will teach their Detailed Safety Brief / Emergency Medical Plan as outlined in their own lesson plan.
Day 3-4 - All Range: Participants will set up, and run each other through segments of their newly created course including range drills. The instructor should be able to explain how they have implemented newly learned training principles, methodologies, and protocols. After each presentation, peer and instructor feedback will be provided to facilitate a constructive review. Creativity and thinking outside the box are emphasized in this course. Discussions will provide further incite into refinement to your curriculum.
Upon graduation from the course, you will have your own intermediate level firearms course ready to launch to customers through your business to increase your impact to the community and develop new revenue streams.
CRATE-(Church Response to Active Threat Engagements) is designed for individuals working on a church security team who wish to enhance their ability to provide a safe environment for their congregation. This course equips you with comprehensive physical and problem-solving skills to respond confidently to an active engagement threat. You will develop tactical and psychological abilities that are critical for confined, high-stress environments. Beyond shooting, CRATE strengthens your problem-solving, teamwork, and decision-making under pressure. Participants will develop a recognition-primed intuition, enabling them to make rapid and accurate decisions rooted in real-world patterns. You will gain essential communication protocols for seamless teamwork, including both verbal and non-verbal communication. CRATE provides a clear foundation to isolate, distract, or neutralize an armed threat. You’ll learn team and solo techniques, movement principles, threshold evaluation, room entry skills, and post-engagement priorities, all tailored for church security settings. The course offers focused, hands-on training over two days: on Day 1, you build proficiency with live-fire exercises on the range, and on Day 2, you put your skills into practice in the actual environment of your house of worship. This structure maximizes your readiness, ensuring you and your team are fully equipped to protect your community.
