Currently, my role involves serving as the Lieutenant over the Community Engagement Bureau, where I supervise the Crisis Response Team, with a strong emphasis on Targeted Violence Prevention. Prior to my career in law enforcement, I served in the United States Coast Guard. During my tenure aboard the USCGC Midgett, stationed in Seattle, WA, I held the positions of Boatswain's Mate of The Watch and Boarding Team Member. Throughout my service, I participated in numerous high-stakes missions, including drug interdiction operations and search and rescue missions, involving the boarding of various vessels.
In addition to my law enforcement duties, I am the voice of the Bearded Monkey Podcast, a platform featured on Spotify and Apple Podcasts, where I engage with listeners on various topics.
Outside of my professional duties, I share my life with my wife, Lasamoa, and am blessed with three wonderful daughters, Mikayla, Ashlynn and our new baby girl, Cooper. Additionally, our household includes an affectionate American Pit Bull Terrier (Dublin), who brings joy and companionship to our family.

This is the class for you.
This Colorado Concealed Carry course is taught by an active Police Lieutenant who trains armed professionals and citizens how to think, move, and carry responsibly.
This is real-world instruction, not death by PowerPoint.
You will learn:
• Use-of-force law (plain English) • When you can shoot and when you absolutely can’t • How to know your defensive shooting is legally justified • Mindset, situational awareness, and decision making • Legal carry methods & equipment setup • Live-fire qualification (on site, same day)
No fluff. No fear tactics. No nonsense.
Just clarity and confidence.
This meets the State of Colorado requirements for a Refresher Concealed Carry Course. It will cover new state laws pertaining to Concealed Carry (shown via PowerPoint and discussion) and then wrap up with a short, written test (open book) and a 50 round shooting qualification at an indoor range.
Take your defensive shooting skills to the next level.
