This class is for those who have never had a California Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) permit, or for those who haven’t had one in a while. This seminar will provide you with the application steps appropriate to your county (Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado, or Yolo) and a description of how we conduct our CCW class.

Come join me for some basic skills practice and coaching!  Range Day will begin with basic safety and progress into marksmanship and defensive shooting skills coaching.  I will have tables available for those who don't own a holster, or haven't previously trained with a holster.  Those who have a holster are welcome to work from the holster, or a table.

The classroom portion of this class will be conducted over the course of two evenings, via Zoom.

Completion of this course will result in the student having exceeded California's standards for Initial CCW Permit qualification. Instruction will include topics covering safely handling firearms, personal protection, legal use of force, and live-fire exercises.

Classes will be a minimum of four hours in length, meeting or exceeding CA legal requirements for renewal.

Qualify for your California CCW renewal, and learn to avoid the worst case scenario! Learn some drills to help you survive a Dynamic Critical Incident while you're at it.

Successful completion of this 4 hour course will result in the shooter having exceeded California’s training requirements to renew a Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) permit.

This 5-hour course does not require a firearm. Much of the information for this class supports protecting your home whether you have a gun or not. We cover topics like the importance of having a plan, improving the security of your house, and the legal use of force (should you need it).

For those interested in learning to protect your house with a firearm, we will finish on the range. This will include a demonstration of several firearms, and some introductory training for those who bring their own firearms.

Most California counties require 8hr "minimum" training. This "Advanced CCW Training" exceeds the minimum in every way. You will not only learn to avoid the legal, moral, and financial issues inherent to Concealed Carry, but also time proven techniques for survival, if you are forced to defend yourself or loved ones.

Basic Handgun teaches general knowledge and skills for any type of handgun. This course is suitable for anybody thinking about buying their first handgun, or for those who own a handgun and want to develop or improve skills.

We will cover different types of handguns, their actions and their safe usage. Discussions will cover a broad range of topics from Defensive Shooting Fundamentals to Gear and Gadgets!

Finally, we take it all to the range for some hands-on experience. You will have a chance to put your new knowledge to use.

This course is designed to reach female students who have never had formal training with firearms. Even if you have never handled a gun, as long as you have an interest in learning, we want to help you develop the confidence and competence to be a safe and accurate new shooter.

Women’s Handgun and Self-Defense Fundamentals forms a strong foundation, while helping you learn the terminology, technique, and gear to feel comfortable with firearms. We will try to keep things fun, while still imparting the attitude and behaviors necessary to help you become a responsibly armed woman.

This is the next step in your journey to becoming a confident and competent shooter. This course builds on what you learned in Women's Basic Handgun. We help you develop good habits that will help you grow and become more proficient.

Women’s Intermediate Handgun builds on the strong foundation you have started, improving technique, and introducing more gear, while continuing to develop your comfort with firearms. We will try to keep things fun, while still imparting the attitude and behaviors necessary to help you become a responsibly armed woman.

This is the next step in your journey to becoming a confident and competent shooter. This course builds on what you learned in Women's Intermediate Handgun. We help you develop good habits that will help you grow and become more proficient.

Women’s Defensive Pistol builds on the strong foundation you have started, adding defensive concepts like conflict avoidance, and working on advanced drills from the holster.

By the time you complete this course, you will have all the skills and knowledge to pursue your concealed carry permit (if that is your goal).

We will try to keep things fun, while still imparting the attitude and behaviors necessary to help you become a responsibly armed woman.

Practice a combination of skills you learned during your concealed carry training. Practice with your every day carry (EDC) gear. Learn how to shoot from unconventional positions, or conditions you cannot practice in a typical range environment. Get coaching and advice about new gear, new techniques, and stuff you heard/saw on YouTube. Most importantly, avoid allowing valuable life-saving skills from getting too rusty between qualifications and renewals.

Introduction to Defensive Shooting is the next step in learning to defend yourself and your loved-ones using a handgun. First, we start by developing your consistent defensive grip and stance. Next we develop and/or fine-tune the way you draw from the holster. Then, you will learn about kinesthetic alignment and how this helps when you deliver multiple shots on target, quickly and effectively.

Your instructor will help you hone the edge on your inner warrior expert. You’ll get your body working with your gun instead of against it. Then, you’ll learn which intuitive skills work best with what your body does naturally under stress in, a combat situation. Finally, you’ll learn to apply this information simply and effectively.

Concealed Carry Defensive Shooting helps prepare you for the possibility of a dynamic critical incident. First, we will reinforce skills taught during Introduction To Defensive Shooting. Next we learn about the body’s natural reactions to threat and how to use them to your advantage. Finally, we will run you through several drills to tie everything together, increasing your chances of surviving a violent encounter.

Learn important basic principles for selection and use of firearms for self-defense. We start with basic safety principles. Then, we discuss various types of firearms, and considerations for selecting the best for your self-defense needs. We will also discuss ammunition care and selection.

Firearms discussed will include handguns, shotguns, and the AR platform.

We wrap up with a brief discussion of less lethal options, when to consider them and what to consider.

This is a live-fire course. You will have plenty of opportunity to fire your shotgun, with personal coaching to increase your comfort and confidence.

This a great course for anyone who owns or is looking to purchase a shotgun. We will cover firearm safety, in the home and outside the home. Loading and unloading procedures. The basics of operating and understanding the functionality of your shotgun. We will also cover the ammunition selection and storage. Finally, we will cover staging and storage of the shotgun itself.

"Handgun Selection & Safety" is your opportunity to learn the features and functions of the most popular types of handguns in a safe environment. After learning the basics of firearms safety, and the core features that separate one handgun type from another, shooters get hands-on experience. You will learn the pros and cons of the most popular types of handguns, and you will have an opportunity to fire several.

Topics will include the following topics, as a minimum:

• Basic handgun safety
• Gun selection care and storage
• Ammunition selection care and storage
• Range Etiquette
• Basic marksmanship
• Basic legal obligations surrounding handgun ownership
• Legal gun storage & transportation
• Recommended follow-up training

Adding a new firearm to your California Concealed Carry permit, or changing a new firearm for one already on your permit, requires range qualification.
