Build a foundation that includes proper grip, stance and kinesthetic alignment and how to efficiently and effectively fire three to five rounds to neutralize a threat.

Pre-requisite: Intro to Defensive Shooting or the equivalent

Come build on the skills and concepts learned in the Intro to Defensive Shooting mini-class. This class will cover extra drills and topics pertaining to home defense. You will be presented with 2 scenarios and have to make decisions in the heat of the moment. Don't just leave your defensive mindset training to the actual moment you need it!

Pre-requisite: Intro to Defensive Shooting

This class will prepare you for carrying a firearm in the real world. Topics include: the bodies' natural reaction to stress, using those reactions to your advantage in a critical incident, movement and presenting from the holster and more.

Come learn all the basics you need to shoot safely, understand your pistol, learn the fundamentals and train on the range. Rental pistols available.

This 3-hour class will cover the following: proper firearms safety, learning pistol parts, ammunition basics, mindset, shooting fundamentals including grip, stance, sight picture, trigger press and more! Range portion to follow classroom segment.

Students will learn how to properly assess a patient in an emergency. Topics include venous and arterial bleeding; compromised airway; head, chest and spinal injuries; broken bones; burns; heart attacks; seizures; strokes; instruction on how to build custom first-aid and trauma kits and more.

This mini-class will cover important legal topics concerning self-defense, including the laws governing the legal use of force inside and outside of the home. Students will get the opportunity to test what they've learned by facing several real-world scenarios.

Physical, psychological and emotional reactions occur when humans undergo extreme stress, such as during an incident involving deadly force. This mini-class explores what students should do immediately after using force in self-defense. When law enforcement arrives at the scene, it is crucial that any defenders appropriately conduct themselves and prepare for dealing with the aftermath.

This mini-class introduces students to several advanced topics, skills and drills, including a detailed explanation of what they should know about avoiding, escaping and defending against an attacker; obligations when it comes to the legal right to use force; and methods for drawing a firearm from either a holster or a handbag. The students will also be introduced to what they should expect and what they should know when visiting a live-fire range for the first time.

In this 4-hour class students explore a comprehensive analysis of data gleaned from 48 mass shootings that have occurred since Columbine. Would magazine-capacity reductions, AR-15 bans, gun-free zones, universal background checks and no-fly lists helps top or reduce mass shootings?

Learn the signs that someone may be planning a mass shooting, how to create an emergency operations plan, and what the special security considerations are for schools, churches and businesses. What is the criteria for a gun-free zone? Learn how to use the "Run, Hide, Fight" methodology. What happens when fighting back means using a firearm? Class instruction includes how to perform triage and treat the wounded.

This mini-class will address non-gunshot-wound medical emergencies.

In the US, a person is 1,110 times more likely to experience a stroke, 500 times more likely to go into a cardiac arrest and tens of thousands of times more likely to find themselves dealing with a diabetic emergency than a gunshot would.

This mini-class covers what types of gear might be included in three different-sized emergency first-aid kits for civilians. These items (and you might need different items based on the activity) are accessible online or at a local drugstore. Learn what you need before you spend a lot of money on a pre-made kit!

Have you ever considered that you could be knocked to the ground in the fight of your life? Have you ever fired from ground positions and experienced the difference in sight picture and recoil management? There are important considerations to do this safely. It's better to learn about this before you need it!

This class will introduce the following ground positions and considerations for each: kneeling, prone, sideways, and supine. You will learn about sight picture and recoil from all of these positions. And in several of them there are quite a few options.

You will get dirty in this class!!! Bring a shooting mat if you have one. Knee and elbow pads are strongly suggested. If you don't have these items, please contact instructor to reserve one.

This 4-hour version of Conceal Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals will have 4 hours of classroom and an optional half-hour of range time following.

Student will complete the classroom portion, take the written exam and state mandated shooting qualification. Upon passing, you will be able to complete the process of receiving your state Handgun License.

Mandated classroom portion will cover all applicable state laws, legal use of force, conflict avoidance/resolution, safe storage, how to fill out the state application and more!

Please bring: pistol, 2 magazines, 100 rounds of ammunition, hearing and eye protection. All pistols to be left in your car during classroom portion. Thank you!

Have you always wanted to know how to disassemble, clean and reassemble your pistol? Is your pistol a mystery? Has it EVER been cleaned? If you have cleaning supplies, feel free to bring them or use instructor provided supplies. Please bring your pistol manual to class!

This 2-2.5 hour clinic will have you cleaning your pistol like a pro! Also discussed will be how often to clean it, what supplies you will need and more. After pistol re-assembly a 2-shot function test will be performed so you know it's cycling properly.

This 1.5 hour class is range only. You will practice basic to advanced skills with multiple targets. Work will be done on speed and accuracy, learning to draw from the holster, clearing malfunctions, zeroing your pistol and more.

Have you heard of dry-firing and wondered what it's all about? Dry-Firing is an excellent way to practice your fundamentals without having to go to the range or use ammo.

Come learn all about dry-firing and how it can help your shooting skills in this 2-hour clinic. You will learn how you do it safely. Then, there will be a series of drills, including some diagnostic tools to really up your game/marksmanship.

You will leave with a plan on how to continue building your skills using what you learn in this clinic.

Learning how to unholster and reholster safely is one of the most important skills a firearms owner can learn. Come learn the right way so you don't endanger yourself and others in this 2 hour clinic.

Introduction on how to talk to your children about firearms and firearm safety

Safety is of the utmost importance when addressing the subject of firearms with children. There are special considerations for keeping them safe. When and how do I teach children about guns? How can I keep kids safe around firearms? What is appropriate for my child's age?

This class is for parents, grandparents and educators. Come learn the 25 things we can teach kids about guns, basic teaching methods, ages & stages considerations, safety, firearms familiarization, age appropriate workbook and activities and much more in this class!

1-hour of private instruction based on what the client needs to work on. Can vary from basics to advanced to competition prep.

Learn to be the "wrong" person a criminal chooses to victimize! Learn about laws pertaining to Use of Force, choosing the right gun, non-lethal options, situational awareness, and more.

Are you having a hard time seeing your iron sights? If so, the red dot optic is a game changer for aging eyes and long-arm syndrome. Is your red or green dot a mystery? Are you struggling with finding the red dot consistently? Are you thinking about getting a dot optic for your pistol? Come learn all about this fantastic technology and how to utilize it.

Course Objective: Develop the basic skills to zero your mounted optic, and access and utilize the dot consistently. You will learn the way to present your pistol in order to see the dot every time. There is no pre-requisite for this class.

This class is to take your red or green dot skills to the next level and is all range time. Course objective: to build more resilient skills using the dot to get more accurate shots on target sooner. Some of the topics are target transitions, drawing from the holster to find the dot, precise shot placement into 1" and 2" squares from various distances, and more!

Course pre-requisite: Red Dot basic course from me or someone else as this class builds on what is learned in our Red Dot Fundamentals course.

Ready to really run your dot? This class is about optimizing your body mechanics for speed & accuracy with your mounted optic. This is an advanced, fast-paced class. We will be examining grip, holster draw, body dynamics for building a strong structure and more!

Pre-requisite: Red Dot Intermediate or defensive pistol equivalent. You must be able to shoot a 1" square from 5 yards with 80% accuracy or better.

Looking to get into reloading? This class will cover safety considerations, equipment needed, storage and handling of components, how to use reloading manuals and much more. This class focuses on metallic cartridge reloading. You will manufacture some 9mm pistol cartridges and fire them in your pistol at the end of the day. You will learn on both single stage and progressive presses. All supplies & safety gear needed in the classroom is provided.

Please bring a lunch and any snacks to get through the day. Also bring: your firearm in 9mm, eye and hearing protection, brimmed cap and wear closed-toed shoes.

Introduction to the AR-15 platform. There is a class presentation and familiarization with an AR-15 rifle. This class is not live fire. You will learn about the parts, disassemble and reassemble an AR-15. Other topics include the operating system, ammunition, loading/unloading/clearing, advantages and disadvantages for home defense, accessories, optics and more.

The student will learn how to zero their sights or optic, learn about various types of optics, understand why the zero distance matters, and be introduced to proper kinesthetic alignment specific to using the AR-15 platform.

Prerequisite: AR-15: Zeroing class or excellent base knowledge of this rifle platform. Rifle must already be zeroed at 25 or 50 yards. Zero will be confirmed before skill building begins. If you don't know how to zero your rifle sights or optic, please take our zeroing class first!

Skills the student will learn: proper body position specific to the AR-15 platform, learn how to use a sling, get defensively accurate hits on target with multiple shots in a row, and reloads.

Prerequisite: Building Foundational Skills or demonstrably excellent foundation on this rifle platform. Rifle must be zeroed at 25 or 50 yards prior to class and you must have a sling on your rifle (2-point sling recommended). You should already understand what kinesthetic alignment is by demonstrating it.

This class will be working on multiple shots on target, building in speed and accuracy. Other topics are: mechanical offset and why that matters, shot cadence, reloads, how to evaluate potential threats in the home, target transitions and more! This is a fast-paced, high-round count class. This is NOT a class for beginners. If you are new to this rifle platform please start with our AR-15: Getting Started class.

Have an AR-15 and no idea how to clean and maintain it? Has your rifle ever been cleaned? Come learn how to clean and maintain your rifle in a small class environment.

You will learn how to disassemble the AR-15, examine for wear and tear, address issues, clean it and reassemble it. After reassembly you will perform a 2-shot function test before leaving.

1-hour private lesson devoted to the AR-15. Price is for 1 person. An additional person will incur an extra charge payable at the time of the lesson.

Please bring .223 or 5.56 ammunition.

Come learn about all different types of gear you need for the range. You will learn about basic gear, advanced gear, extra gear such as med kits, etc.

This Instructor Development Day is centered around the CCHDF curriculum.

This is a class for all Range Safety Officers and A-Team members of A Girl & A Gun. Come get a refresh on your shooting fundamentals with directed range drills. You will also get a chance to use your RSO skills. And, you will learn about line safety and how to help your facilitator or instructor during a class or event.

This Instructor Development Day is centered around the NRA curricula.

Course contains the mandatory state curriculum to earn your Texas License to Carry plus extras on the use of force and conceal carry mindset. You will also take the state-mandated written test, get an hour of range instruction and shoot the required shooting qualification. Next steps to obtain your license will be discussed and you will leave with all the paperwork needed.

This is the class if you want to know everything about pepper sprays and gels! First we will learn all about the products in class as well as legal considerations, appropriate responses, awareness mindset and more. Then we set the room up for the deployment portion of the class. No one will be pepper sprayed in this class! We will be using inert training canisters only. Training canisters and face shields are provided.

In this class you will learn about Self-Defense Firearms Basics, Defensive Shooting Fundamentals, Gear and Gadgets you need and range time to work on the basics.

This comprehensive 3-hour class will focus on issues surrounding home defense issues. Some topics include: developing your plan, self-defense firearms basics, shooting fundamentals, legal use of force, conflict avoidance, making your home more secure, violent encounters and their aftermath and more! There will also be a discussion on gear and gadgets.
