What You'll Learn
Free Tshirt for every graduate! USCCA Pistol 101 is a beginner-friendly course for individuals who are new to firearms or want to build a strong foundation in handgun safety and operation. This class focuses on safe firearm handling, basic shooting fundamentals, and developing confidence with a pistol in a structured and supportive environment. Students will learn the essential safety rules, how pistols function, proper grip and stance, sight alignment, trigger control, and basic range procedures. The course also introduces responsible firearm ownership and safe storage practices. This class includes classroom instruction followed by live-fire practice on the range (booked separately at a time convenient for the student, live fire not includedin the cost), allowing students to apply what they learn under the guidance of a certified instructor. Topics Covered: The Universal Firearm Safety Rules Types of pistols and how they operate Proper grip, stance, and shooting fundamentals Loading and unloading procedures Basic marksmanship concepts Safe storage and responsible ownership Range etiquette and commands Who This Class Is For: First-time gun owners New shooters with little or no experience Anyone wanting a refresher on handgun safety and fundamentals No prior experience is required. Safety, confidence, and responsible firearm handling are the primary goals of this course.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded. Or contact me directly and we can schedule you to a later class.
What We'll Teach
Self-Defense Firearms Basics
This lesson will introduce you to a wealth of information on different types of self-defense firearms including handguns, home defense shotguns, and the AR-15 platform, where Michael Martin provides easy to understand explanations of the common terms used so frequently. The goal of this lesson is to de-mystify what can sometimes feel like a topic reserved for experts.
