"Doc" is a one-of-a-kind firearms instructor. He is known for his patience, safety, logical processes, and details - precisely what you want in a firearms instructor or defense consultant. He relates well with people of all ages and walks of life. His experience in the military, the Intelligence Community, as a detective, a private Investigator, and of course, a firearms instructor, ensures that he passes on real-life scenarios to his students. "Doc" is a soft-spoken, non-threatening, professional instructor who ensures that you are prepared to be the defensive "first responder" for you, your family, and loved ones. He prepares you for the safe responsibility of gun and weapons ownership. His instruction is as fun as it is informative. He is available for private lessons, group sessions, government, or to provide consultation on work/community threat assessments. Doc is a USCCA and Tennessee-licensed defensive and firearms instructor. He loves reading, traveling, and being with his family. This class is important for those people interested in identifying potential situations before they happen. Included in this instruction are practical tips on when using a firearm may become necessary and how to react. Join the "Third Annual Friends and Family Shoot & Learn" on 26 October 2024. This event will involve the use of a Shotgun and how to operate it safely on the range. We will put this into practice at a 15-station, 100 rounds, Clay Pigeon course at the range. This is a time to learn how to safely handle a weapon and then put it into practice. Included is a description of TN Constitutional Carry Law for those interested.

In Tennessee, private investigators may be allowed to carry firearms, but this is subject to specific regulations and licensing requirements. Many states, including Tennessee, have varying laws regarding weapon carry rights for licensed private investigators, so it's important to learn about these laws and how to "survive" legally and personally. This class is for all Private TN Investigators who want to discuss the carrying laws or lack thereof, how to carry concealed and how to prevent your weapon from being taken.
