The TN Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit Class provides the state‑mandated training required to apply for Tennessee’s Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit. This comprehensive course is designed for responsible citizens seeking a deeper understanding of handgun safety, lawful carry, and defensive firearm fundamentals. Students receive structured instruction in firearm safety rules, safe handling, storage and transport, situational awareness, conflict avoidance, legal responsibilities, and the fundamentals of defensive shooting. The class includes both classroom instruction and the required live‑fire qualification, ensuring students demonstrate safe operation and basic marksmanship skills. This course meets all Tennessee state requirements for the Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit and prepares students to carry a handgun confidently and responsibly in public.
Cancellation Policy: Refund and Cancellation Policy All class fees, training fees, and membership payments are non‑refundable. Payment secures your seat and instructor resources for the scheduled session. Students may request a one‑time reschedule by contacting us at least 24 hours prior to the start of their scheduled class. Rescheduled classes must be taken within one month of the original class date. Additional reschedule requests are not permitted. Failure to attend a class, or providing notice less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time, will be considered a no‑show. No‑shows and late notices forfeit all fees and must re‑register at full cost. Registration constitutes acceptance of this policy.

Legal Use of Force
In this lesson, Michael Martin will cover important legal topics, including the laws governing the legal use of force inside and outside the home. Within this lesson, you’ll get a chance to test what you’ve learned, using several real world scenarios with you as the actor.

Who This Class Is For: • First‑time handgun permit applicants • Individuals seeking the Enhanced permit rather than the Concealed‑Only permit • Students wanting a stronger foundation in safety, legal knowledge, and defensive skills What Students Will Learn: • Tennessee handgun carry laws & responsibilities • Firearm safety rules and safe handling • Situational awareness & threat avoidance • Safe loading, unloading, and malfunction basics • Legal use of force considerations • Proper storage, transport, and carry practices • Live‑fire qualification and range safety Equipment Requirements: • Handgun (rentals available) • 50 rounds of ammunition • Range bag and eye/ear protection Note: Rented firearms must use ammunition purchased from CFA. Certification: Students receive the documentation required to submit their application for the Tennessee Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit.
