What You'll Learn
The TN Unarmed Security Guard – This course provides the required state‑approved training for new and current licensed Tennessee Unarmed Security Guards. This class reinforces the essential knowledge, responsibilities, and professional standards expected of security personnel while updating students on any changes in Tennessee laws, regulations, and industry best practices. This course focuses on maintaining professionalism, improving situational awareness, strengthening communication and reporting skills, and reviewing foundational safety principles. Students revisit core responsibilities of unarmed guards, discuss real‑world security scenarios, and ensure they remain compliant with state requirements for continued employment in the private security industry. This training meets the Tennessee state requirement for new and renewing an unarmed guard registration and provides the documentation needed for submission to the Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance.
Cancellation Policy: Refund and Cancellation Policy All class fees, training fees, and membership payments are non‑refundable. Payment secures your seat and instructor resources for the scheduled session. Students may request a one‑time reschedule by contacting us at least 24 hours prior to the start of their scheduled class. Rescheduled classes must be taken within one month of the original class date. Additional reschedule requests are not permitted. Failure to attend a class, or providing notice less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time, will be considered a no‑show. No‑shows and late notices forfeit all fees and must re‑register at full cost. Registration constitutes acceptance of this policy.
What We'll Teach
Legal Use of Force
In this lesson, Michael Martin will cover important legal topics, including the laws governing the legal use of force inside and outside the home. Within this lesson, you’ll get a chance to test what you’ve learned, using several real world scenarios with you as the actor.
