What You'll Learn
In addition to the Legal Use of Force portion of the USCCA curriculum, we will cover the following items as defined in SDCL 23-7-58:
(1) South Dakota law relating to firearms and the use of force; (2) The basic concepts of the safe and responsible use of handguns; (3) Self-defense principles; and (4) Live fire training including the firing of at least ninety-eight rounds of ammunition by the student.
This course will also qualify for the Arizona Concealed Weapons Permit
Cancellation Policy: * Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the scheduled class start time may choose between a full refund minus credit card processing fees (approximately 2.9% + $0.30) or a transfer of the class fee to a future scheduled class within one calendar year at no cost pending availability. * Cancellations made between 14 days and 24 hours prior to the scheduled class start time may transfer the class fee to a future scheduled class within one calendar year at no cost pending availability but will not be eligible for a refund. * Any no show with no call, or cancellation within 24 hours of class start time will result in no refund. A transfer of the class fee to a future scheduled class will be at the discretion of Southpaw Defense LLC. * All class fees collected where the class was not attended by the payee will be forfeited after 365 days of the originally scheduled class. * In cases where the class has been attended, there will be no refunds
What We'll Teach
Legal Use of Force
In this lesson, Michael Martin will cover important legal topics, including the laws governing the legal use of force inside and outside the home. Within this lesson, you’ll get a chance to test what you’ve learned, using several real world scenarios with you as the actor.
Additional Notes from Your Instructor
It is assumed that you can already operate a handgun safely for the live fire portion of this class.
