What You'll Learn
Pistol Fundamentals is a class designed for individuals who are already familiar with the basics of loading and firing a semi automatic handgun.
This class will take it a step further. Pistol Fundamentals will provide students with the opportunity to learn how to better “run their gun” rather than just sending lead down range. Students will learn how to identify and remedy pistol malfunctions and other stoppages, learn reloading techniques, master fundamentals both on the line and with dry fire practice, control recoil, and learn the basics of holster types and holster techniques.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellation Policy Classes may be canceled, postponed or rescheduled due to: Extreme weather Unforeseen events Insufficient enrollment Students will be notified as soon as possible via text message from 570.656.9563 and given the option of rescheduling or refund. Reschedule Policy Firearms training classes have limited spaces based on range availability and range safety officers. Once a class is full, additional students are not accepted. Students may cancel up to 72 hours prior to scheduled class time by calling 570.656.9563 to give us the opportunity to offer that spot to another student. Students who cancel prior to the 72 hour cut off will be given the opportunity to reschedule the class or request a refund. Refund Policy Last minute cancellations (any cancellation within 72 hours of the scheduled class start time) prevent others from attending and will be charged 35% of the class fee. If you do not contact us prior to your scheduled class and do not attend the class, you are considered a no-show and we will be unable to issue a refund and no credit for rescheduling will be offered. No Refunds Will Be Issued: If student fails the class If student cannot complete qualifications If student is suspected of being under the influence of any intoxicating substance - he/she will not be allowed to participate in any training Students will be briefed on safety policies and procedures. Failure to follow these policies and procedures may result in student being removed from class with no refund. Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.
What We'll Teach
Defensive Shooting Fundamentals
This lesson will continue with the basics, including a very visual overview of what we call the “building blocks” or the fundamentals for accurate and safe shooting. Within this lesson, Michael Martin will explain the differences between the skills required for being a good “marksman” at the range, and the skills that might be required to save your life if you are ever the subject of a violent attack.
