What You'll Learn
During this course, you will familiarize yourself with your handgun. Firearms safety is emphasized as a primary topic throughout the course. You will become familiar with the parts and operation of a handgun. The fundamentals of shooting are covered; position, grip, breath control, sight alignment, trigger squeeze, and follow-through, which is the first step to developing consistent accuracy. Defensive shooting fundamentals. Methods of concealed carry. Oregon & Utah laws (if applicable). Federal gun laws. Body alarm responses/reactions resulting from a stress induced adrenaline dump. Use of deadly force and the after math. Dealing with police plus much more. There are no prerequisites for this course. It is recommended for adults who want to learn a foundation for defensive shooting of handguns & have little, some or no previous experience with firearms.
Cancellation Policy: All students are required to pay for classes in full and in advance to secure their seat in the class. If you do not show up for the class, you forfeit all payments. If you need to cancel and reschedule your seat in the class, you must call or email us within 48 hours minimum prior to your scheduled class date. You will be allowed to reschedule one time for free. There will be a $15 fee charged for students needing to reschedule more than one time. Important! Students must understand that classes might be canceled without notice due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control. We make every reasonable effort to contact students in advance of canceling any classes. Any reservation canceled will automatically be extended without cost or penalties and students will be rescheduled to the next available class. We do not do refunds once reservations are made. A 3.5% fee will be added to all credit card payments.
