What You'll Learn
About the Course Permitless carry, also known as "Constitutional Carry," allows eligible adults to carry a concealed firearm without a state-issued permit; however, carrying a firearm is a serious responsibility that comes with high legal scrutiny and significant personal consequences. This seminar is designed to bridge the gap between your right to carry and the legal and tactical knowledge required to do so safely and responsibly.
What You Will Learn This classroom-based session focuses on the fundamental responsibilities of an armed citizen. Key curriculum points include:
Understanding Permitless Carry: Learn what constitutional carry is and your specific public responsibilities under these laws.
Armed in Public: Explore why your decisions matter before, during, and after an encounter, and why you are held to a higher standard of scrutiny.
Situational Awareness: Learn to use the Cooper Color Code to move from being unaware (Condition White) to a state of relaxed alertness (Condition Yellow).
Pre-Threat Indicators: Learn how to identify physical and verbal cues—such as bladed stances, unusual requests, or following behavior—before an attack occurs.
The Use of Force: Understand the legal threshold for using force and the four pillars of justifiable deadly force: immediacy, innocence, no lesser force, and no means of escape.
Continued Readiness: Why training beyond the gun is essential for your mental, physical, and legal preparedness.
Training Components Mental Preparation: This is a non-live-fire, classroom-only course focused on strategy and legal literacy.
Visual Learning: We utilize professional USCCA presentation materials to illustrate complex legal and tactical concepts.
Reciprocity Guidance: Overview of the USCCA Reciprocity Map to help you understand where your right to carry applies when traveling across state lines.
Common Questions Does this course meet permit requirements? No. While this course provides essential knowledge, it does not typically satisfy the state-mandated live-fire requirements for obtaining a formal concealed carry permit in jurisdictions that require them.
Should I still get a permit? Many students choose to obtain a permit even in permitless carry states to benefit from reciprocity with other states and to demonstrate a higher level of documented training.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.
