What You'll Learn
During this class you will learn the Ohio state requirements and beyond to acquiring a Concealed Carry License also known as a CCW.
Beginner and experienced students welcome, we will go from the basics of home defense planning up to weapons handling, safety procedures, best practices and the legal ramifications involved with a self-defense situation.
Class is for handguns only, please provide your own firearm. If you don't have one please contact me and I will see if we can provide one for the class. Any caliber is accepted but I highly recommend 9mm or smaller caliber due to recoil management and ammunition cost.
Lesson is conducted in the Impact Leadership Center in Independence Ohio, drinks and snacks are provided. Range time is on the same day at a local range. If you have any special requests or requirements please contact me via email: tyler@cha-o-ha.com.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.

Over 1 million students have taken the U.S. Concealed Carry Association’s course offerings across the nation. Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive classroom course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. If you are new to handguns, this is a great introduction to everything you need to know to start your self-protection journey.
This course is a complete guide to understanding the basics of firearms ownership, safety, and nomenclature, and how it applies to home- or self-defense. After this class, students will feel confident to act as their family’s first line of defense in the event of a home invasion or other critical incident.
Additional Notes from Your Instructor
Range Fee's are not provided for, each lane will be split between 2 people and the cost divided between the students. If you do not have a partner I will supplement half of the lane fee, which is around $30. If you cannot bring ammo there will be an opportunity to purchase some for the range portion. Please note this class is a pass or fail environment, you are not guaranteed to get your CCW if you cannot reasonably perform weapons handling or shooting safely. If you are brand new to firearms don't let that discourage you, I will make sure you understand the required safety measures to complete the class and carry you farther down your journey to becoming a responsible firearms owner. When arriving at class all firearms must be in a case or bag unloaded and ammunition separated from the firearm. We will not be handling live ammunition within the learning center.
