What You'll Learn
As the protector of yourself, and your family, you are taking the necessary first step in becoming a responsible firearm owner by taking this class. Throughout this class you will learn basic handgun skills, the importance situational awareness, the Ohio State concealed carry laws, etc. Upon completing the six(6) hour classroom training, and the two(2) hour range requirement, you will earn your certificate of completion which is necessary in obtaining your Ohio concealed carry permit.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.

Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive classroom course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. If you are new to handguns, this is a great introduction to everything you need to know to start your self-protection journey.
This course is a complete guide to understanding the basics of firearms ownership, safety, and nomenclature, and how it applies to home- or self-defense. After this class, students will feel confident to act as their family’s first line of defense in the event of a home invasion or other critical incident.

IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ BELOW! DO NOT BRING YOUR FIREARM OR AMMUNITION TO CLASS. YOU WILL ONLY BRING YOUR FIREARM AND AMMUNITION TO THE RANGE ON RANGE DAY ONLY. Two more important requirements: • Before the first day of class you will need to read the Ohio’s Concealed-Carry Laws manual which can be found at: www.OhioAttorneyGeneral.gov/CCWManual. • The two(2) hour range requirement will conducted at the Delaware Wildlife Area Shooting Range (https://ohiodnr.gov/go-and-do/plan-a-visit/find-a-property/delaware-wildlife-area-shooting-range). You will need to obtain a membership in order to shoot at the range. You can obtain the annual permit ($24) or a one day pass ($5).
