What You'll Learn
During this course of instruction, you will learn the required curriculum to satisfy the NC State requirements to obtain a concealed carry permit and much more. This course is eight solid hours of classroom learning starting at 8:00am with additional time allocated for required live fire at the range. You must pass the written exam and the range qualification to be issued a certificate. Given the nature of this class, it is advised that you have some experience with firearms. However, if you are brand new gun owner you are certainly more than welcome to sign up. I will do everything I can to help you succeed and start you down the path of responsible gun ownership.
Please ensure you bring the following to class;
- 50 rounds of factory ammunition for the firearm
you plan to use for qualification. No
handloads/remanufactured ammunition please. I
will have ammunition available to purchase if
needed.
- A firearm, preferably the one you wish to carry,
and an appropriate holster for that firearm. If you
do not have a firearm yet I have handguns to rent.
- Appropriate apparel to meet weather conditions
for the day of the class. My range is an outdoor
range so please make sure you are prepared. We
shoot rain or sunshine. Lightning or severe
weather are exceptions and will be addressed at
the time of the class.
- Any snacks you desire and/or non-alcoholic
beverage. We will have sodas and water available
and we will provide lunch.
- Eye protection and Ear protection appropriate for
firearm training.
- Sunscreen
- Bug Spray
- Pen and paper
I want this to be safe, excellent learning experience for all my students and want you to leave feeling you are received an excellent education.
