What You'll Learn
This private course is the North Carolina Concealed Carry Handgun (CCH) training required to obtain your concealed carry permit. During the course, we take an in-depth look into NC laws that tell when you can and cannot use deadly force in a one on one private session. We also cover handgun vocabulary, safe handling and shooting fundamentals.
THIS IS NOT A BEGINNER COURSE. NEW SHOOTERS SHOULD TAKE: FIRST THING'S FIRST or USCCA BASIC HANDGUN FIRST.
In order to get full credit for this class, students are required, by the NC DOJ, to pass a written exam and a shooting qualification that will consist of firing 10 rounds from the 3 yard line, 10 rounds from the 5 yard line, and 10 rounds from the 7 yard line. The qualification score to pass the class and receive your CCH certification is 70 percent. Your target area will be anything within the 8 zone or higher.
Failure to meet these requirements will result in course failure. It is our belief that students taking this course have had prior experience with handling firearms and are able to safely and independently load, unload, and fire a handgun. Registration costs are NOT refundable in the event of course failure. However, there will be an opportunity for remediation, retesting and reevaluation.
What you'll get: Each successful participant will receive an official certificate in order to apply for their NC Concealed Carry Handgun permit.
What you'll need: You will need a handgun and at least 50 rounds of target practice ammunition. If you do not own a handgun, you may rent one from Precision Aim Tactical & Defense.
VALID PHOTO IDENTIFICATION IS REQUIRED TO ATTEND ALL FIREARMS COURSES.
Cancellation Policy: Classes can be rescheduled for the next available class time, but we do require a 48-hour notification of any changes, prior to class. There is a NO REFUND policy. Refunds are only given if class is cancelled by Precision Aim Tactical & Defense.
