What You'll Learn
When Prevention Isn't Enough, Will You Know What to Do?
It's the middle of the night. You hear glass breaking, a door opening, or footsteps where there shouldn't be any.
Your heart starts racing. Your family is somewhere inside the house. You have only moments to decide what to do next.
Do you investigate the noise? Do you stay where you are? What if a family member is in another room? Where can you find protection, and how do you avoid making a dangerous situation worse?
Having a home defense plan is important. Practicing how to make decisions under pressure is something entirely different.
Our Defend Your Home: Respond & Survive class takes home defense beyond the classroom with interactive, scenario-based training using airsoft equipment in a controlled training environment.
You'll explore the challenges of responding to a simulated home intrusion while learning to prioritize your safety, protect family members, and make responsible decisions when circumstances change unexpectedly.
What You'll Learn
UNDERSTANDING YOUR ENVIRONMENT — Cover, Concealment & Awareness
Learn the differences between cover and concealment, how common household layouts can affect safety, and why understanding your surroundings matters during an emergency.
MOVEMENT & POSITIONING — Making Safer Choices
Explore the challenges of moving through indoor spaces, maintaining awareness, avoiding unnecessary exposure to danger, and recognizing when staying in a secure location may be safer than moving toward an unknown threat.
PROTECTING YOUR FAMILY — Have a Plan for Everyone
What if your children are in another room? What if someone in your household cannot move quickly? Discuss family communication, emergency plans, safer locations, and decisions that may help reduce risks to the people you're trying to protect.
DECISION-MAKING UNDER PRESSURE — Not Every Situation Has THE SAME ANSWER
Learn to assess changing circumstances, recognize uncertainty, consider alternatives to confrontation, and understand why the safest response may differ from one situation to another.
RESPONDING TO LAW ENFORCEMENT — When Help Arrives
Discuss communicating with 911, identifying yourself to responding officers, following instructions, and avoiding actions that could cause confusion when police arrive.
Experience the Decisions Before You Face Them
This is not simply a lecture about home defense.
Through controlled, airsoft-based scenarios, students will experience realistic decision-making challenges in a safe, supervised training environment.
Our exercises are designed to help you recognize problems, evaluate your options, communicate effectively, and understand the consequences of your decisions.
The goal is not to teach you to hunt down an intruder. It's to help you protect yourself and your family while avoiding unnecessary confrontation.

What to Wear & Bring
This is hands-on, force-on-force training, so come prepared to participate!
During our realistic airsoft scenarios, you should expect the possibility of being hit by airsoft BBs. While this adds an element of realism to the training, getting hit can sting, so we strongly recommend dressing appropriately.
Dress in layers: Long sleeves, long pants, and thicker clothing can help reduce the discomfort of airsoft impacts.
Hoodies are recommended: A hoodie or sweatshirt provides an additional layer of protection.
Wear gloves: Gloves are strongly recommended to help protect your hands.
Wear closed-toe shoes: Choose comfortable, secure footwear that allows you to move safely.
Bring an airsoft mask if you have one: We have protective airsoft masks available for students who need them, but you're encouraged to bring your own if you have one. All masks must be approved by the instructor and provide appropriate full-face and eye protection.
Important: Approved eye and face protection must be worn during all airsoft scenarios. Protective clothing can reduce discomfort but does not eliminate the risk of injury.
Realistic Scenarios. Practical Decisions. Better Preparation.
No one wants to experience a home invasion. But having a plan, understanding your options, and practicing decision-making can help you become better prepared for an emergency.
Defend Your Home: Respond & Survive
Understand the environment. Protect your family. Make every decision count.

What We'll Teach
Developing a Personal Plan & Home Protection Plan
Developing a personal & home protection plan is a key component of not only preparing for how we should (or might) react if confronted by a violent crime, but also how we might avoid violent crime in the first place. Within this lesson, Michael Martin explains that developing a protection plan is about much more than becoming proficient with a firearm or writing up a home invasion plan. It’s a plan that must encompass awareness, avoidance, and preparation, so that we’re less likely to find ourselves in a situation where we have no other option than to use our firearm, rather than more likely.
