What You'll Learn
Where this fits:
If you are already confident with firearms, this is a good introduction to the tactics and other factors involved in protecting your home. For those less familiar with firearms this course still stands on its own, but we highly recommend you also attend Intro to Pistol or Intro to Carbine or both. This course also nests well with our more advanced Singleton Structure Clearing Course. They go together well because while the Intro course specifically covers home defense, it only covers tactics at an introductory level. Structure Clearing, on the other hand, is less home defense specific but covers tactics in depth.
What we cover:
-Physical Security and structure hardening considerations.
-Lighting and dealing with low light engagements
-Theory: why we teach what we teach
-Firearms and related equipment selection
-Firearms storage and access considerations and related equipment
-Tactical or scenario objectives and why they matter to tactics
-Basic Singleton Structure clearing
What you need:
-Clothing suitable for the great outdoors!
-Note taking materials
-Eye and Ear Protection
-Closed toe shoes
-All your questions about home defense!
-Optional: Your home defense firearms and ammunition. If you bring these, there is a possibility we may be able to do some live-fire shoot-house work! If not, this is primarily a tactics and equipment course, so no big deal, you'll still get all the benefits of the course.
Cancellation Policy: CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY All fees for firearm training courses are strictly non-refundable. Once payment is submitted, it is considered final, non-reversible, and non-transferable, except in the event that Ps44 Training cancels the course. Requests to reschedule a course will be considered on a case-by-case basis and only in the event of a documented emergency. Such requests must be submitted no less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled course start time. If approved, a maximum of one rescheduling opportunity will be granted per student per calendar year. Failure to attend a scheduled course ("no show") or cancellation without sufficient notice will result in the forfeiture of both rescheduling privileges and course fees.
