What You'll Learn
*** CLASS CONDUCTED AT RANGE OFFSITE***
This class is designed to cover the New Jersey required Use of Force training and CCARE live fire course so you may renew your PTC through the state of New Jersey. Students MUST have taken the initial qualification with us in order to use the renewal program.
Included We'll also go over any known changes to the renewal process on the State Website and cover any questions you may have.
After demonstrating safe handling, proper loading/unloading techniques, proper concealed carry draw and demonstrating techniques of good marksmanship, The candidate will conduct the following against an FBI Style Q Target achieving a passing score of 80% which is 40/50 rounds inside the silhouette :
On command from the instructor, from a secured and concealed holster position, draw and fire 5 rounds. Holster a safe, decocked, if applicable, firearm.
Repeat the string of fire twice, firing a total of 10 rounds.
Reload if required and holster a safe, decocked, if applicable, firearm.
The above will be completed at 3 yards, 5 yards, 7 yards, 10 yards, and 15 yards
At the end of the course of fire, clear all weapons, and holster a safe and empty firearm.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.
What We'll Teach
Legal Use of Force
In this lesson, Michael Martin will cover important legal topics, including the laws governing the legal use of force inside and outside the home. Within this lesson, you’ll get a chance to test what you’ve learned, using several real world scenarios with you as the actor.
Additional Notes from Your Instructor
As this is a concealed carry course, please be sure if using an outside the waistband holster you also bring outerwear to conceal it for the course.
