What You'll Learn
If you are new to shooting and already own a gun or are looking to purchase a gun but don’t know where to begin, this eight hour course is perfect for you! Spend the day learning how to safely handle and use a pistol or revolver. This course is also a great refresher course for the more experienced shooter. This course covers:
Firearms safety How pistols function, learn about different types of handguns How to choose your first handgun Loading and unloading pistols / revolvers NH pistol permitting process, carrying in NH Federal Interstate transportation of firearms Permissive and non permissive areas State and Federal Laws Cleaning & maintenance Safe firearm storage Ammunition types, choosing the proper ammunition Proper stance, gripping the pistol correctly, using the sights and pressing and resetting the trigger correctly.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 24 hours in advance of a class date in order to reschedule. Because of our very flexible reschedule policies, CDI does NOT offer refunds. Students may transfer their class to another person, or suspend their class dates for as long as needed.

Self-Defense Firearms Basics
This lesson will introduce you to a wealth of information on different types of self-defense firearms including handguns, home defense shotguns, and the AR-15 platform, where Michael Martin provides easy to understand explanations of the common terms used so frequently. The goal of this lesson is to de-mystify what can sometimes feel like a topic reserved for experts.
