What You'll Learn
Defensive Pistol 101 is designed to teach the skills necessary to lawfully defend oneself at home, the workplace, or out on the street. You’ll learn the most effective self-defense methods in the most realistic training environment available. You’ll have the opportunity to use Simunition FX® ammunition, firearm conversion kits and safety gear, RedMan WDS training gear and ShocKnife™ training equipment in Defensive Pistol 102, 103, 104, 105 Courses. Defensive Pistol 101 Covers:
How your body reacts under stress Reactionary gap Lawful use of deadly force Identifying threats and understanding intent Movement, cover, concealment Holsters and other carry equipment Drawing from concealment Shooting without using sights (body point, stress point Index) Setting up boundaries / reactionary gap Posturing and using task direction
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 24 hours in advance of a class date in order to reschedule. Because of our very flexible reschedule policies, CDI does NOT offer refunds. Students may transfer their class to another person, or suspend their class dates for as long as needed.
What We'll Teach
Defensive Shooting Fundamentals
This lesson will continue with the basics, including a very visual overview of what we call the “building blocks” or the fundamentals for accurate and safe shooting. Within this lesson, Michael Martin will explain the differences between the skills required for being a good “marksman” at the range, and the skills that might be required to save your life if you are ever the subject of a violent attack.
