What You'll Learn
This is a shooting class, conducted on the range.
We are located in Salem, NH, on Rte 28 within minutes of Haverhill, Methuen, Lawrence and Lowell MA. Livefire range exercise will be in Pelham, NH.
Instructor-led range time including safety essentials, confirmation of zero, and use/operation of an AR-15; students will work on cognitive drills that build on AR-15 shooting fundamentals and require the application of skills for effective target transition, balance of speed and precision, and defensive accurate hits on target.
This live-fire course is designed to introduce responsible gun owners to the safe handling and effective use of AR-15-style rifles while bringing awareness about the AR-15 platform and its usefulness in the context of civilian home defense/defense of life.
Main topics include:
- Basic AR-15 nomenclature
- Basic AR-15 function
- Verifying zero
- Fundamentals of shooting the AR-15
- Entry-level, practical and cumulative drills
AR-15's are available for student use; several optics to choose from. Please contact us prior to enrolling if requesting loaner. Does not include ammunition.
EQUIPMENT LIST:
- Reliable AR-15 (zeroed prior to class) with optic or BUIS (In a gun case)
- Sling (preferably 2-point) — MUST HAVE! (I'll have backups)
- 3+ magazines
- 200+ rounds of ammunition minimum for your rifle/carbine
- Wraparound eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses
- Ear protection
- Magazine pouch (or belt, chest rig, plate carrier, or jeans with back pockets)
- Water & snacks
- Cleaning kit
- Brimmed Hat
- Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning
- Clothing suitable for training in any weather
We are very experienced instructing with first time and beginner shooters, as well advanced level students.

Cancellation Policy: Due to limited seating, we ask that you notify us if your plans change and you will be unable to attend. Please notify us as soon as you know you will not be attending the class. 48 hour notice required for full refund. Cancellation within 48 hours will be rescheduled. INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION COURSE: Non-refundable, due to the limited seating, schedule and required e-Learning prerequisite, the USCCA Instructor Certification can only be rescheduled to a later class.
