What We'll Teach
Save a Life: Control the Bleed
Participants will learn how to control severe arterial bleeding using commercial tourniquets or improvised methods, apply compression bandages, pack wounds, and treat chest injuries.
Additional Notes from Your Instructor
Guest Instructor, Larry Caton, will certify participants in Stop the Bleed. Larry is a certified AHA Basic life support and First Aid Instructor and American College of Surgeons "Stop the Bleed" program instructor. He has been a health care provider for almost 50 years, 23 of those in the military, and is currently licensed in 4 states as an RN.
