What You'll Learn
This class isn’t here to teach you how to shoot and is far more than just a path to your Concealed Carry Weapons Permit (CCWP). It’s designed to teach you how to avoid situations where you might be forced to defend yourself, and to ensure you understand what it takes to be legally justified if you’re left with no other option. This training is built for anyone serious about personal protection, whether or not you carry a firearm. Yes, we cover firearms safety and shooting fundamentals, but the real value is learning to avoid threats, stay aware, and make smart decisions under pressure. In Montana, Constitutional Carry gives you the right to carry, but rights come with responsibility, and the law around self-defense applies the same whether you use a gun, a knife, or your hands. What makes this course different? While you’ll earn a certificate to support your CCWP application, this training goes deeper. We focus on situational awareness, legal use of force, de-escalation, and conflict avoidance. You'll gain the confidence to recognize danger early and avoid it entirely whenever possible. If you are ever forced to act, you’ll know what’s justified and what’s not, armed or not. We cover firearms handling, shooting skills, and choosing the right defensive tool for your lifestyle. We also walk through reciprocity laws, real-world scenarios, and what to say (or not say) to police after an incident. You’ll learn how stress affects memory and decision-making, giving you an edge when seconds count. This course is built on the award-winning USCCA Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals and taught by an instructor with real-world law enforcement experience. My goal isn’t just to teach you how to shoot, it’s to help you stay safe, avoid conflict, and prepare for whatever threat comes your way.

Additional Notes from Your Instructor
Punctuality Policy: Please ensure you arrive on time. Some classes start as soon as the venue opens, so check the location’s hours and be seated at the designated start time. Our instructors are legally required to cover a specific amount of material, and full attendance is crucial for certification. If you arrive late, you may be asked to reschedule, as missing any part of the class will disqualify you from receiving your certification. Our instructors cannot issue certifications to anyone who misses significant portions of the course. You may reschedule your paid class once for free, but any additional rescheduling will incur a $15 fee, valid within one year of purchase. We appreciate your understanding. Safety Policy: Safety is non-negotiable in all of our classes. Any unsafe or disruptive behavior, either in the classroom or on the range, will result in immediate dismissal without a refund. The instructor holds full discretion in determining whether a student's actions compromise safety or disrupt the learning environment. Refund Policy: All class fees are nonrefundable. In the case of extreme weather, venue closures, lack of sufficient enrollment, or other unforeseen circumstances, the class will be rescheduled, not refunded. We aim to have at least five participants per session. If enrollment is too low, we may postpone the class, and you’ll be notified as soon as the decision is made. Any changes in schedule or location will be communicated using the contact information you provided. By purchasing a ticket, you agree that all in-person class fees are 100% nonrefundable. If the class is rescheduled due to government directives, low enrollment, or other circumstances, your only option will be to attend a future class date. COVID-19 Policy: For everyone’s health and safety, if you’re feeling unwell on the day of the class, please reschedule at no additional cost. If you have concerns about attending due to health risks, we will gladly move you to a future class for free.
