What You'll Learn

This course meets the requirements for issuing an initial Michigan CPL (Concealed Pistol License)

Classroom Instruction (Indoors, 5 hours) Lunch (Venison Chili – Please advise if you have any food allergies) Drinks (Water/Pop/Coffee) Range Time (Outdoors 3 hour) Recommended that you bring:

Please bring a notebook & pen. The range is outdoors, so please dress accordingly for the weather. Eye & ear protection (we have foam earplugs if needed) Your own pistol* and minimum 30 rounds of ammo (we recommend 50 -100 rounds) We can rent a pistol if needed, please let us know before class. We typically can sell extra ammo too: (typically have 22LR, 380, 9mm, 40 S&W, 45ACP, available for purchase)

Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 96 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 96 hours before the class will not be refunded.

Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive classroom course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. If you are new to handguns, this is a great introduction to everything you need to know to start your self-protection journey.

This course is a complete guide to understanding the basics of firearms ownership, safety, and nomenclature, and how it applies to home- or self-defense. After this class, students will feel confident to act as their family’s first line of defense in the event of a home invasion or other critical incident.
