What You'll Learn
This one day 8-9 hour course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding individual’s right to self-defense. This is an eight-hour course. Students should expect to shoot approximately 50 rounds of ammunition. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection In The Home handbook, Gun Safety Rules brochure . This Basic Personal Protection In The Home course is for law-abiding adult citizens, as defined by applicable federal, state, or local law, and experienced shooters. Equipment required: · Handgun, 9mm or greater · 50 rounds of ammunition · Hearing protection · Eye protection ·
Appropriate attire including duty/training footwear Certificate of Completion awarded upon successful completion of course
Cancellation Policy: ***Range fees are not included and are paid at the range*** Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a refund. Only one reschedule is allowed if requested up to 48 hours before class. A $5 Stripe processing fee will be charged for any refund issued. "No Shows" will not be refunded or rescheduled.
