What You'll Learn
USCCA Level 2 Protector Academy Qualification Price: $125.00 | Capacity: 10 Classroom: 1 hour | Range: 2 hours Overview Level 2 builds on Level 1 and confirms you can safely and efficiently load, unload, reload, clear malfunctions, and accurately engage a target under time pressure at a realistic self-defense distance (3 yards). Optional online courses (Defensive Shooting Concepts and Emergency First-Aid Fundamentals) are recommended but not required. You will complete a three-hour in-person course with a certified instructor, then log it in your Protector Academy account. Qualification Requirements Competency check (untimed): Load, unload, and show clear with snap caps (3 reps). Three timed drills on the USCCA Universal Target (8-inch center circle). First run of each is a warm-up; the next two count. All hits must be inside the 8-inch circle. Key safety rules Face the target before picking up the firearm. Secure a proper grip with the barrel pointed downrange before chambering a round. Drills (all at 3 yards) Part 1 – Load & Shoot: Load 3 rounds, fire them → ≤ 6 seconds (2 timed reps) Part 2 – Reload: Fire 3, reload, fire 3 → ≤ 12 seconds (2 timed reps) Part 3 – Malfunction + Reload: Magazines contain 3 live + 1 snap cap; clear malfunctions with tap-rack as needed, fire 6 total → ≤ 15 seconds (2 timed reps) Pass all timed drills with 100 % accuracy inside the circle and you qualify. If not, an instructor can help you correct issues and retest. Materials: USCCA Universal Target, 15 rounds, 2 snap caps, 2 magazines, shot timer (instructor-supplied).
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.
