What You'll Learn
MI CPL Course Description The course also covers practical scenarios and real-world decision-making to help students develop confidence in carrying and using a concealed pistol responsibly. Participants will engage in hands-on exercises and discussions designed to reinforce situational awareness and ethical considerations. The safe storage, use, and handling of a pistol including, but not limited to, safe storage, use, and handling to protect child safety. Ammunition knowledge The fundamentals of pistol shooting. Pistol shooting positions. Firearms and the law, including civil liability issues. Avoiding criminal attack and controlling violent confrontations. All laws that apply to carrying a concealed pistol in this state. At least 8 hours of instruction, including 3 hours of range firing time.

Class starts promptly at 8:30 am and ends at 5:00 pm We meet in the AcuSport Lodge Students can either bring a lunch or purchase lunch from the AcuSport Grille on location.
Students must be at least 20 years old to attend. students can bring their firearm and ammunition, but it must be cased. All firearms must be in working condition and will be inspected. We will have firearms available for use for an additional fee to cover the ammunition.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.

This course is a complete guide to understanding the basics of firearms ownership, safety, and nomenclature, and how it applies to home- or self-defense. After this class, students will feel confident to act as their family’s first line of defense in the event of a home invasion or other critical incident.
Additional Notes from Your Instructor
Students will be provided with a copy of the USCCA Conceal Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals book that covers all lessons discussed in class. Additionally, all students are gifted a complementary 1-month membership to John A. Halter Shooting Sports Center Range stating the day of class + 30 days. Recommend a ball cap No low-cut shirt No open toed shoes Students CAN NOT be under the influence of alcohol or drugs or prescription narcotics! Must be legally allowed to possess firearms. Prior to class, please complete the Hillsdale College Range Waiver at: https://www.bizzflo.com/landingpage/index?id=2066&type=form CPL Students Should Possess, basic firearms knowledge skills to safely operate a handgun be able to load their own magazines and firearms and understand how to properly clear malfunctions. All firearms must be cleared (not loaded and properly secured in a case).
