Basic intro to Safety and fundamentals

Class will be held at Creekside in Clayton MI and the range portion will be here too at our outdoor range.

This class will satisfy the requirements to apply for the MI CPL

Upon successful completion of all the USCCA Certified Instructor requirements which consist of; the online e-learning portion which is about a 6-8 hour self-placed on-line course along with two days spend physically in the class/on the range, the instructor candidates will become certified USCCA Instructors. As a USCCA Instructor you will be able to Michigan Concealed Carry Classes (CPL) and other states concealed carry courses too such as; Basic firearms Pistol classes, Real Estate Safety, Firearms Safety mini classes and much more.

The physical classroom portion consists of: Course Introduction and FAQs Instructor Mistakes Teaching Best Practices Managing a Safe Live Fire Range Live Fire Exercises and qualification Presenting the Student Multimedia Marketing Your Business Final Test and Review

The course fee covers the e-learning, the classroom and range. Also included is your instructor tool kit that has 10 course books, an instructor polo/hat, a facilitator guide, a USCCA poster access to the PowerPoint slides and much more on-line training material you need to get started teaching your classes. The class participation does not guarantee that you will leave with a USCCA Instructor Certificate. If you attend the course and do not receive certification, refunds will not be given. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of firearms safety and be able to demonstrate the basic principals of good safe gun handling skills. These instructors have over 40 years of combined experience.

Our Ladies ONLY Learning Series is for all women! No prior shooting experience is required! If you don’t have a handgun one can be provided with the purchase of our ammo! If you are just wanting to get started or looking to learn more, this is the right class for you!

The Topic that this course will cover: Firearm’s Safety & Storage Situational Awareness Less than Lethal Options Dry Firing Holster and Handgun Selection Considerations Shooting Fundamentals both Marksmanship and Defensive Ammunition and Firearms Malfunctions and Immediate Action Drawling from the holster (concealment)

The first week will be classroom ONLY covering course expectations and some dry fire work. The remaining 5 weeks will be all range time with live fire. What do you need to bring: A positive attitude and open mind, handgun if you own one, magazine(s) and each week a box of 50 rounds off ammunition for your specific handgun, hearing and eye protection if you have if not some will be provided for you.

The USCCA AR-15 Fundamentals course is designed to introduce responsible gun owners to the safe handling, proper maintenance and effective use of AR-15-style rifles and to bring awareness to the usefulness of this platform in the context of civilian home defense and defense of life. Michigan CPL course. Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive a training certificate that satisfies the training requirements necessary to apply to for the MI Conceal Carry License aka CCW. Michigan CPL course. Successful completion of this course, students will receive a training certificate that satisfies the training requirements necessary to apply to for the MI Conceal Carry License aka CCW. This class is only for Law Enforcement, First Responders, and Active Duty Military. Credentials must be shown the day of class.

MI CPL Course Description The course also covers practical scenarios and real-world decision-making to help students develop confidence in carrying and using a concealed pistol responsibly. Participants will engage in hands-on exercises and discussions designed to reinforce situational awareness and ethical considerations. The safe storage, use, and handling of a pistol including, but not limited to, safe storage, use, and handling to protect child safety. Ammunition knowledge The fundamentals of pistol shooting. Pistol shooting positions. Firearms and the law, including civil liability issues. Avoiding criminal attack and controlling violent confrontations. All laws that apply to carrying a concealed pistol in this state. At least 8 hours of instruction, including 3 hours of range firing time.

Class starts promptly at 8:30 am and ends at 5:00 pm We meet in the AcuSport Lodge Students can either bring a lunch or purchase lunch from the AcuSport Grille on location.

Students must be at least 20 years old to attend. students can bring their firearm and ammunition, but it must be cased. All firearms must be in working condition and will be inspected. We will have firearms available for use for an additional fee to cover the ammunition.

Whether you are new to shooting and just starting out on your firearms learning journey or looking to learn and improve your skills. Ladies of all skills levels are welcome. Women Instructors will be available to assist you. Firearms can be available for use/rental provided you purchase our ammo upon request. This weekly event will cover basic firearms safety, shooting fundamentals, selecting a handgun for personal protection, gear to consider, with coaching available to help along every step of the way. Structured more like a lady's shooting club. With a safe, relaxed, encouraging training environment. hearing and eye protection are available at the range. If your budget will allow, we recommend a range bag, having your own hearing/ear (preferably electronic) and eye protection. Ball cap is also recommended. No open toed shoes, low cut shirts.
